When I had the cold for about 12 hours in September, got a lot of “what do you think about Covid now”. My response was it was even lighter than I thought it would be and that my risk assessment turned about to be correct. Getting a slight cold was priced in. My wife’s family forced her, myself and kids to get negative Covid tests before coming over for Xmas. My wife kicked and screamed for like a week. We ultimately did, now their entire vaxxed family has it, and frankly worse than we had it. They are giving the vaccine credit for it not being worse than it is.

Once again "wow you are one of the lucky ones" then when I said no I was just one of the normal ones it was met with a lot of silence and death glares. People really want this thing to be an automatic death disease so it will make them feel better about their fucktarded paranoia which is really just a conduit to virtue signal.

I'm the opposite. I feel reassured after getting Covid. Getting little more than soar throat for a day, proved that I've done a good job keeping myself healthy. People who fear Covid because of Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, clogged arteries, you have reason too. I know a few people have these just because, but 95% of people with these issues are self induced problems.

As I said before…there is no stopping this. Ending Covid should not be the goal. Making it so it’s manageable through therapeutics, vaccinations, and sensible public policy should be. That’s it.

A very liberal friend contracted COVID right before Christmas. She went thru everything this article mentioned and even described herself as "one of the most uptight bitches re Covid". We were in Oregon for Christmas so we let her stay at our house (instead of Hampton Inn) since she wanted to isolate from her family. Happy to help- it's what friends do. But the level of self loathing that she has made me think she was about to take a Silkwood shower.
BTW, her only symptom was a stuffy nose for a couple of days. -
