The weird thing is, I heard this news a few minutes ago, then nothing. It's as if everybody is waiting to confirm this is true before talking about it further.

You're right... the story that was on the front page of the NY Times is gone. WTF??? This is surreal. Even NPR just dropped the coverage. What don't they want us to know?
