Coaches Poll - UW receives 3 votes

Even more disturbing is the fact that 6 Pac 12 coaches voted + Chris Petersen, and they still only got 3 votes.
Sad.

I think the most disturbing thing is some of the schools that received more votes than UW. Utah St, Northern Illinois, Tulsa, Ohio, San Jose State. Kent State and East Carolina received the same amount of votes.
Even the biggest Sark supporter would have said this would be disappointing after the 09 and 10 seasons. Instead, they say stupid shit like ,"Preseason polls mean nothing. USC was ranked #1 last year in the preseason polls."
I would love to know the last time a team that received three votes had a "special" season. -
Thanks for that. I am leaving work early to drink the rest of the day away.Travis Morris said:Cincinnati 3; East Carolina 3; Kent State 3; Mississippi State 3; Washington 3

On the one hand, I applaud you for mocking the special 2013 year by using this data.
On the other hand, you should die in a fucking fire for caring about preseason polls. -
WE'RE BACK, BITCHES!!!!!!!!!1

I would never want you to DIE in a fucking fire. I would want you to barely survive with burns over 98% of your body, and live the rest of your miserable life in agonizing pain.TierbsHsotBoobs said:On the one hand, I applaud you for mocking the special 2013 year by using this data.

The post about this on dawgman is a riot. Kim of course chimes in with "UW is putting in effort to change the culture of football but it takes time". Meanwhile, there are a bunch of "I'll be happy with 7 or 8 wins. This is a tough schedule. Next year should be out year."
-
Oregon is in free fall. Their #3 preseason ranking is a 50% drop-off from their 2012 season ending #2 spot. There's trouble brewing in Eugene...

As long as you keep a mediocre coach around, you'll never have more than a mediocre football culture.bananasnblondes said:The post about this on dawgman is a riot. Sure there is correlation, but please find a study that shows causation. All mediocre football coaches have eaten chicken, I suppose you think eating chicken causes a mediocre football culture?TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Someday, hopefully soon, the new age (as opposed to Golden Age) Washington Huskies will be Top-20 and garner more votes from the coaches than powerhouses Oregon State, Kansas State, Fresno State, Vanderbilt, Utah State, Northern Illinois, Tulsa, Ohio U., San Jose State, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Kent State, and Mississippi State COMBINED.IrishDawg22 said:I knew 2013 was going to be special.

Geez....... I hate this time of year and these stupid preseason polls reminding us each year of what we've lost.

UW has the same number of first place votes as the Ducks. That can't be good for Oregon.RaccoonHarry said:Oregon is in free fall. Their #3 preseason ranking is a 50% drop-off from their 2012 season ending #2 spot. There's trouble brewing in Eugene...

I've noticed the Auburn Doog syndrome is going around earlier than usual. Going into 2011 I heard how 2013 will be special. Even after UW lost to Boise I heard "Sark better win at least 9-10 games this next season".bananasnblondes said:The post about this on dawgman is a riot. Now as the season is drawing near I'm noticing a lot of "If Sark wins 7 or 8 games but shows some progress, he should be back in 2014 as that will be our year".
The constant moving of the goal posts on expectations I think is what drives me crazy the most when it comes to Doogs. -

You can't expect to win next year with a new QB AND Oregon on the road.bananasnblondes said:The post about this on dawgman is a riot. 2015 won't be special either... too many new OL.
-
This excuse is going to be my favorite. After bashing on Price for what will be a solid two years straight, wishing he'd be benched or LEAVE! already. Then next year when UW loses they'll go to that excuse "Hard to win with an inexperienced QB, he just needs more time and reps."TierbsHsotBoobs said:
