MC liked the way he handed the ball off to CJ for 3 yards a crack. How many times could he have unleashed that arm talent at UO, if MC had even the slightest clue. I'm so glad that nothing but talk, talk, talk guy is gone.
Just look at that, he knows the DE is free and he's about to get plastered and he still sets and unleashes that throw. Too bad he didn't have CJ to hand off to there. He's just too nice of a guy to ever say anything negative about MC. That's up to a-holes like me. I gladly accept the job.

You and repeat are working WAAAY too hard on this one.
Again, Charger Herbert >>> Oregon Herbert. Part of that was supporting cast; part of that was just who he was at that point.

Creep, keep telling yourself that when MC ruins Van Dyke. Here’s a story Creep. An NFL scout was in Autzen scouting JH. Pre-Mario.
He folded up his laptop and left at halftime. Asked why? I’ve seen all I need to see. JH was launching bombs and lasers. MC should have watched some tape.

Imagine what his JR/SR could have been.
Yeah, that's not responsive to what I said.
Carry on with this if it helps. I'll poke around when I have time and find the posts where pretty much everybody on this forum (1) stated the obvious that Herbert is physically gifted (which is all your story supports), (2) lacks leadership skills and (3) is prone to choking and throwing errant passes. All three were true about Herbert at the same time at Oregon.
Herbert threw dimes that few QBs in the nation can throw. He also threw picks and screwed the pooch on more than one occasion.
You guys laying on "holding Herbert back" as a reason to be happy Cristobal is gone is apparently what's working for you, but it's not cogent. Oregon's receivers have not been a strong suit of the offense for some time and Herbert didn't always play well in college
That said, MC likes to run the ball, and I do too, so I got what I want. There's never been a great Miami team that didn't have a ground game that you could take anywhere in the country.
And my guess is that you'd better get used to it because I doubt a Georgia DC is looking for the next Chip Kelley to run the offense. I could be wrong. It's been known to happen.
Sorry, Creep, provider of great takes. Gotta disagree with you on this one.
College Herbert - 3 HCs in 4 years; 3 different OCs in 4 years.
Ran a version of the spread option his freshman year; 3 years of the Pistol.
Imagine Herbert at a school running a pro style offense or even an offense adapted to highlight his talent.
Please disregard what every Dawg/Doog said about Herbert. No Duck fan cares.
Herbert was 35/5 over four years of starting.
He walked into his rookie year at LA Chargers and when Tyrod Taylor couldn’t start the first game, the rest is history . . . Rookie of the Year, etc.
Doubt whether he picked up all this physical talent (size, weight, arm strength), intelligence (football IQ). and decision-making between the Rose Bowl and his first game with the Chargers.
Love Cristobal’s emphasis on the O-Line, but not the Fing Pistol offense.
Cristobal was incapable of adapting his offensive philosophy to the talent (Herbert) on the field.
Would have loved to see Herbert play his last two years under an OC and not Arroyo, Cristobal and the Fing Run Coordinator.
How many of Oregon’s road graders were 1st team All PAC-12 this year?

That’s my take. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Funny, how AB came back for a sixth season after his personal QB Coach stated he wouldn’t be returning.
Since he was getting all the 1st team reps and all the playing time, the drop off from AB to the backup must be a chasm the size of the Grand Canyon.
His locker room beat down (what I heard) after the game of Jimmy Lake and the Huskies will endear him to me forever.
