No wonder Sankey resists expansion. Market cornered
He doesn't resist expansion. He leading the charge for it.
If 8 teams get in, they will average 3 w/ off chance in weird years of 4 after Texas and OU come aboard.
If 12 teams get in they will average 4 w/ off chance in weird years of 5.
They will never agree to AQ of P3 (Sorry Big 12 after 2025 when Sooners and Longhorns leave you drop down and Pac-12 if it's not USC... well you know why)
People forget that half that tim or more during the BCS era there wasn't a 3rd team deserving of a shot. Now we? all? want expansion, so what, a bunch of teams that lost to stanford and iowa state get a hat on the table?
Does the committee make Georgia and Bama play again in the semis to ensure there's not an all-SEC championship game? Or split them up and pretend like there's a chance no SEC team is in the championship game?

The argument against yours is that by having more spots available kids will be more likely to go to schools other than Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and "Oklahoma/Georgia placeholder." Similar to college hoops. So in 3-4 years' time you have a field of 6-8 legitimate title contenders.
Yes, the top-20 recruits will still go to those four teams listed, but we all know that half of those kids flame out.
