The Championship Game in Vegas

Didn't watch the entire game, but from what I did see it looked like a championship game worthy atmosphere.
God forbid we get a few teams in there with playoff implications. Bodes well for the future.

It looked like a lot fun of fun and much different atmosphere than Santa ClaraDoogles said:Huge win for the Pac12, the Utes did their part and showed up.

It will also be in Inglewood for Lincoln

Imagine 3-75 years from now, with the Huskies playing USC In Vegas for the Pac-12 title. The end zone seats filled with drunken, delirious Half Brains.

It helps that Vegas is only 5.5 hrs from Salt a lake shitty.
Sad that @89ute didn’t run on down there.

It’s reasonably close to any team in the south sans Colorado. It’s a way better atmosphere than freaking NorCal. Hope they don’t mess this up and move it to LA.YellowSnow said:It helps that Vegas is only 5.5 hrs from Salt a lake shitty.

Marketing idea….. How about the official airline of the pac 12 offer deals to fly to Las Vegas for the teams that are involved instead of tripling the priceYellowSnow said:It helps that Vegas is only 5.5 hrs from Salt a lake shitty.

I know weird. -
Think they got a bit lucky this year it was the UTES involved, but you gotta keep that game there if you go neutral site.AtomicDawg said:

Best option in this shitty conference for an atmosphere is still team with best record hosts. -
Yeah it looked pretty rockin. They should keep it there.
Consider how often networks this year refused to provide full shots of Pac stadiums. Just closeups of the student sections. -
They’ve been to the last 3 championship games anyone could attend. It’s a trend. LA is close. That game will always be able to draw at kwat 45k if it’s in Vegas unless Stanford goes maybe.MikeSeaver said:

Agreed more people will go to Vegas. I said they should keep it there.
But year by year if you want to look like you care about football out here. Put it at the best records place.

That’s what the small conferences do. Keep it in Vegas and they will come.MikeSeaver said:

Small conferences might do that compared to P5s but the pac is so goddamn spread out and in defense of fans, you may not know you’re going until 6 days prior. For the working man, that might be a bit costly plus you’re having to take the day off on Friday.AtomicDawg said:

The new commissioner can start swinging his dick around by getting the championship game moved to Saturday with the other P5s. Playing on Friday night is small time but tennis club Larry was in charge at the tim and the networks wanted to fill a Friday night tim slot and the pac said yes because we have small tim thinkers in this conference.
Number 1 priority is moving the game to Saturday. Number 2 is either keeping it in Vegas or going to the best record/highest ranked team stadium. At least that way you’re only ducking over 1 fan base. -
when do tickets go on sell. i plan on going next year regardless whos playing
-
Was thinking the same thing while watching. It actually looked and sounded like a big time conference championship instead of a preseason game. I'm planning to go every time DeBoner wins the north.
-
Santa Clara is a fucking nightmare. I lived in Oakland and had zero desire to go through what it took to get there from an hour away.
-
The conference needs to move their HQs and TV network studios to Vegas. SF is an expensive mistake for the conference.
-
Agree. Location sucks. Stadium is overrated. Little Climate Pledge Arena has better pricey beer options.WilburHooksHands said:Santa Clara is a fucking nightmare. I lived in Oakland and had zero desire to go through what it took to get there from an hour away.

We stayed close to whatever airport we flew into, San Jose maybe. Getting to the stadium wasn’t bad but I spent some tim looking for a couple bars and there was maybe 1 close to the stadium.WilburHooksHands said:Santa Clara is a fucking nightmare. Getting back to our hotel sucked. We ended walking a mile to finally get an Uber and passed 3-4 hotels on the way. Each had a bar but had all signs prohibiting non hotel guests from going in. Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. -

Shark Tank was where all the good bars were. No bars near stadium but I was lucky enough to get into the one at Levi's.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:
