What happened with HHB and when it did all really begin?
Hardcore Husky launched on November 26, 2012. In December, we had 28,000 page views for the month. It was basically me, Race, Sven, Nacho, Damone, Mooser42 and a handful of others talking to each other. I was a little bit worried, and relentlessly marketed on Facebook ("Come to the cool boards") and emailed and called everyone I knew. By July 2013, Vanilla was calling me because they noticed the rapid growth of the site and wanted me to upgrade to their Enterprise level at $1,500 a month. Part of the growth was in thanks to K-Grizzle, who that summer had started banning people again and giving time outs.
We also had our first sponsor in August 2013, which was a bounty hunter who met with me at a Chinese restaurant and insisted on sitting so he could see who was coming through the front door.
What site was the one where yhe message board link wasnt obvious and it was almost you had to be told by someone where to click to get in. I remember being told it was a message board where you could cuss up a storm and talk shit and real football talk without big brother. After hearing that i was wanting in. I was done with dawgman wanting something different and also because i was in the "free damone" camp and was getting too many timeouts.
I was so fed up with Ty in those days and the crap that dm.c was throwing at everyone I was out searching every site I could to find a place to land. A good friend of mine was friends with Samek and I was running into Samek at work (he was a finance guy) and he kept me informed about what was going on at dm.c while I was in search mode. Landed here after the demise of HHB. Is Samek even associated with those guys anymore?
BTW - the arguments between Race and Dawgman are classics. I got so sick of that shit I left. Took two years to find this respectable place.
One thing Stalin said - his first sponsor was a bounty hunter? Shouldn't that be his only sponsor?
