Sometimes a coach just has to coach

Agree completely on this.FremontTroll said:The hiring of Huff should be viewed separately from the firing of Strausser. People always conflate the two (think Roman/Hopkins.)
I think we need a full cleanse on the offensive side of the ball but I wouldn’t be surprised if Huff lands on his feet somewhere and ends up being a good coach. Everything has been fucked under Hamdan and JonDon and it’s just not clear how to apportion responsibility beyond the OC and head coaches. -

Disagree. Adams committed to UW under Sark and maintained his commitment throughout. Strausser did nothing. He had the same level of involvement in his recruitment as I did.GreenRiverGatorz said:FremontTroll said:You have to do both. For a great coach/developer a large percentage of Strausser’s diamond in the rough signees never came close to doing shit. Sosebee, James, Turner, remember these names?
It became abundantly clear in 2016 and 2017 as our Plan A-D guys signed elsewhere that another Adams or McGary wasn’t walking through that door.
To say otherwise is revisionist history.
The Nfl is a better fit for him.- McGary - recruited as a DE by Kwat anyways, so Strausser gets zero credit for the recruitment here. But development was all him.
- Matt James - lol
- Jesse Sosebee - also lol
- John Turner - who?
- Devin Burleson - useless
- Jared Hilbers - give Strauss credit, a nobody recruit who developed into an above average starter
- Henry Roberts - not sure Strauss even ran point on this, but it was a good signing. He of course ended up busting.
- Trey Adams - Obviously a big dick get. Give Strauss credit.
- Luke Wattenberg - Solid signing, but has turned out to be useless. Maybe Strausser could have developed him into something better.
- Nick Harris - Not a big signing, but clearly Strausser's best success.
- Henry Bainivalu - See Wattenberg.
- Cole Norgaard - who?
- Jaxson Kirkland - Maybe Strauss gets credit for evaluating him? Losing Sarrell was obviously a blessing in disguise on this one.

The Colts have the most talented OL in the NFL. Hmmmm.... Lmao what an awful post.NEsnake12 said:The Colts have the most talented OL in the NFL so that also helps.
LG Quenton Nelson is pretty unanimously considered to be the best interior OL in the entire league, and the LT and C were pro bowlers last season on top of that. Reminiscent of the 2005 Seahawks OL -
Sure you can beef coug with Nick Harris and shit like that. You aren’t doing that against Bama no matter how good they are with their technique and communication.TXDawg said:How does a coach get called a shit recruiter when his unit is high-performing?

Not as a freshmen. He had to play too early. Thus, recruiting matters. So does coaching. There are people who do both.backthepack said:

Didn't Adams himself, at the NFL Combine, admit that this was more of a small dick get?GreenRiverGatorz said:

Morning talking heads were previewing the Bucs - Colts game and touting the Colts as having the best OL in the NFL. So...backthepack said:

So then you acknowledge that your previous post was shit. Nick Harris is not an example of linemen not talented enough to beat Bama.backthepack said:
