Most knowledgeable people are not talking about these incoming freshmen competing for playing time in 2013 on the OL. Perhaps some are, but most people know that the issue is to continuously build depth and experience on the OL, and to do so you need 4-5 OL recruits every year, and then redshirt them and give them chance to develop. For everything where Kim may be wrong, he is right that normally you expect an OL to have 4th and 5th year guys.

In our 2009 class that Sark inherited, the same class with Price and Trufant, the only OL recruit was Daniel Mafoe, a JC player who never got admitted. So that class was a complete miss for us now, and normally we should have a couple of RS seniors helping, but we have none now. The 2010 class had seven linemen, lead by Kohler and the now retired Porter. 2011 had just two. So our OL is now relying far too much on the 2010 class.

So the erratic recruiting is really a problem. In 2011 we had four OL, but lost two late to Colorado and lost the key in state recruits too.

That 2010 class will also graduate soon, Kohler after next year and the rest in 2014. We need depth behind them. If we miss on the 2012 and 2013 classes to build that back-up depth, we are screwed again. That is inexcusable. If good players refuse to play for Cozzetto, fire him. If good recruits are not getting developed by Cozzetto, fire him. If Sark cannot deal with that, fire him. I am fed up with this OL situation.

Just picked up Jermaine Kelly today. CB/S that has played some WR. Someone needs to delete that portion of his bio before Sark sees it.
