Dom Hampton and Carson Bruener change everything for this defense

He's making solid hits and good tackles because he knows how to play angles and doesn't have cement shoes. The other lbs are always grasping and never squaring up because they're either slow, misplayed the angle, or abundance.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
I only watched the first half and now im out drinking. Was he actually hit sticking and hurting people?dnc said:Carson played the best game a UW LB has played since Peak Azeem. It wasn't just the number of tackles (or the sack/FF) but the way he tackled. He hit people, they went down immediately. He hurt people. We haven't seen that in ages. So pumped for his future.
Hampton is making some pretty hard hits. -
Stanford is the softest team in the Pac. Let’s see how Voi and Carson play next week before crowning them

Husky football script says we find an ILB in week 9 like in 2019 when we? found Eddie against Oregon

I auto assumed Bruener would join our stable of trusty lunch pail weight room coach on the field type MLBs but I'll be damned if I didn't see the motherfucker actually break down the ball carrier. I thought I was seeing things.
He's obviously a slow learner if he hasn't mastered the take bad angles, avoid using leverage, close late finish with arm tackle being drug forward by ball carrier limiting to 7-12yd gains approach. BG needs to get this guy on board, force his ass to watch Kyler Manu film till it sinks in -
this. stanford is dogshit lets see what they do against my ducksSonnyShackelford said:Stanford is the softest team in the Pac. Let’s see how Voi and Carson play next week before crowning them

Cam Davis unlocked something on offense too, though we should keep in mind Stanford was #12 in rushing defense in the Pac12. Nevertheless, the running game was impressive.

Time to do the doog dance

I liked Powell in the slot and bookie deep with dom. Bookie took some bad angles but this duo looked much better. Not sure if it was the opponent making them look good… just hate seeing the safety back pedaling 40 yards on 3rd and 7.BroadcastingDawg said:Hampton looks sort of Chancellor like. He's got the potential to be an enforcer. Something this defense sorely missed.
Michael Powell also made some great plays out there at corner. -
Ffs the team still sucks. Davis still sucks. Stanford sucks. The conference sucks. Nothing else matters.DerekJohnson said:Cam Davis unlocked something on offense too, though we should keep in mind Stanford was #12 in rushing defense in the Pac12. Nevertheless, the running game was impressive.
Stanford’s defense is awful. And we stif had one touchdown. -
It seemed more like the o line was finally able to push guys around. This was the first time they opened holes and Davis was able to run through them.DerekJohnson said:Cam Davis unlocked something on offense too, though we should keep in mind Stanford was #12 in rushing defense in the Pac12.
