I would be all for Kalen Deboer if it meant firing Lake at season end. He probably wont be that good, but he is a middleaged white guy that you can fire in 2 years if he sucks without anyone throwing a fit.
Portaling in half the Fresno State team would solve the recruiting gap Jimmy has created.
Bill O Brian's ability to strangle the Texans franchise to death with mediocrity while convincing the ownership to make him the shitty GM was impressive.
He did let Deshaun Watson run wild with all those prostate massage therapists so you know he is willing to do anything to win.
Fickell has been on a roll for the past couple years
Pretty sure between the buyout and family reasons Fickell isn’t leaving … if he was he’d be at USC
Is Cincinnati going to the Big 12 soon? Yet another reason for him to stay there. With tOSU dominating recruiting nationally, Fickell can still get a lot of good Ohio recruits that don’t quite make the cut for Columbus but many other schools would love to have.

This. Fickel doesn’t have to leave but there are some great jobs open this year. He can be very selective though and demand a kings ransom. If penn state opens up that could be another option.
Fickel was the right hand of Jim Tressesel and a big recruiter of those teams. Got an interim year as head coach there when it fell apart. Not a fair shot. But urban was waiting
Done a good job. Brian Kelly did good at Cincinnati as did Brian Kelly

Campbell would be my first choice and DeBoer my second. Someone like Jeff Traylor or Dave Aranda would be 3rd.
FTG.
Not the least bit interested in him.

I like the idea of an Ohio coach again
