it really wouldnt shock me.

It's over. Jimmy is not the dude. Too many red flags, not just with the offense. Recruiting. The empty stadium. The tired defensive scheme that is ineffective without elite DTs and now stale.

You can't afford to let this experiment continue beyond this year. Too much revenue is at stake.

    She may read this but she’s too dense to realize the program is the issue.

    She’s convinced herself the fans are the issue. Much easier for simple people to externalize blame.

    Maybe even two years if Hopkins does ok enough in the 2021-2022 season and then improves a little in 2022-2023.

    Her youngest starts college in the fall of 2023 so maybe she retires after Matt Campbell's or Kalen DeBoer's 2023 coaching season.

    If Lake goes 4-8 or 5-7, I don't see how she can keep him another year. To save only $3.3 million?

    The whole athletic department needs to be cleaned out. Will it happen? Doubt it....has anyone looked up who is on the Board of Regents? Doubt that group could fire anyone. The only way Cohen/Lake go is if we have rabid boosters that donate $$$$$$ that say they are pulling the plug if she doesn't do anything. And these so said boosters go to President/Board of Regents and demand action. Problem is that Jen is in bed with all her boosters--she has come from a fundraising background. No doubt she is feeling some heat....and she then blamed the fans. I don't believe I've ever, in my miserable lifetim, ever heard a coach or athletic director blame the fans because these poor players and coaches got their feelings hurt. Put up or shut the fuck up. Christ.

    We don't, but you HAVE to START with firing Jimmy being REQUIRED. If you can't even get that consensus then you aren't ever going to have the conversation of if Jen should keep her job.

    Optics of firing a black football coach vs keeping the white basketball coach who did worse. Sadly this is what keeps Lake around for next year.

    It's apples and oranges. Who cares that JL has a little more melanin than MH? Hopkins at least had success his first two years and he isn't heading up the Golden Goose known as Husky Football. Husky Football pays for every other sport and keeping Jimmy Fake to save only $3.3 million and for stupid optics while losing $7-10 million in ticket / concession / merchandise etc etc etc would be the dumbest thing since the Gilby / Willingham debacle.

    Agree on point one which is why you fire Jen now and the new AD can clean house. If the general agreement is that Jimmy stays another year, her head needs to roll now.
