Yeah, his big gets were Byron Murphy and Trent McDuffie. Both were elite prospects from out of state. I think Budda coming to UW had a lot more to do with Pete and Helfrich than Lake. Lake reeled in other highly regarded prospects like Asa, Irvin, and a few others but he wasn't pulling in multiple top 100 guys a year.dnc said:

The thing about Pete is that he was respected and very well liked by most prospects and parents. His reputation as a coach exceeded what he deserved, and his reputation as a person exceeded that. He was a huge draw himself based on his exploits at Boise alone (which also don't quite live up to the reputation he gained from his time there). -
