    The Stupid Party Realizes the Chamber of Commerce Is In a Political Alliance With the Left-Wing -- Five Years After It Was Obvious to Everyone Else

    Jake Sherman
    @JakeSherman

    NEWS in @PunchbowlNews this AM: House GOP leadership has booted the @USChamber from its strategy calls on reconciliation.

    This is a major statement, and represents a break up between the Chamber and House Rs.

    Mollie
    @MZHemingway

    And only five years after such a move would have been obvious and only a year after the Chamber of Commerce openly admitted they were electorally allied with Democrats. Nothing gets past these guys!

    Guess I read Yang wrong, I thought he was pretty thirsty to get to the Big Kids table. Good on him.
    I guess we'll never know why he didn't feel welcome in the party of tolerance

    One thing that bugs the sh*t out of me is why someone like Yang can't explain to me why he isn't a conservative.
    ¿da fuq? Have you not read his policy platform?

    So, what are his conservative positions? Honest question A conservative position on public education would be to ban teacher unions and tuition vouchers. A conservative position isn't government health care.

    A conservative position IS, however, a Public Option. Conservatives believe in market competition and forces, which include the widest variety of options, including the bargain basement public option plan.

    Too Bad Obama and Biden don't believe in a public option, either. It could bring prices down for everyone.

    Great 5 minute video by Sharyl Atkinson's Full Measure about an Oklahoma doctor treating his patients for one low fee for basic services like joint replacements. Just like lasik surgery, breast implants or lipo suction which are very competitive. You see more ads for lipo suction than joint replacements for some reason. Get some competition and you get better procedures and lower costs. Note that Trump wanted to make hospital pricing more competitive and the industry hated him for it.

    Big Pharma, hospitals and the insurance industry have made big bribes contributions to political campaigns over the years. They want ROI on the money that they've wired to foreign bank accounts contributed to their candidates.

    To be clear, the public option is an alternative to for-profit healthcare Insurance, not on the performance and delivery side.

    As you know about insurance, the real demons are the bean-counters who whittle away services to reap large profits for their companies, one fucked-over subscriber at a time.

    When health insurance is advertised like car insurance, you will know we have a competitive market. Medicare Part B has almost completely been turned over to the health insurance companies. New enrollment for 2022 starts on October 15 and you already see a lot of adds for Medicare Advantage programs. Car repair is very competitive and lower costs mean lower insurance premiums. No one chooses bad service in a competitive environment. Getting competition into the US health care system is the key to getting cheaper and better health care.
