But Trump . . . You sound like the type of lawyer who would write a 99-page response to criticism from a judge; attend your Show Cause Hearing and spend 2-1/2 hours arguing with the judge and telling him/her how they are wrong.

As between us, only you are trying to ignore the bipartisan nature of this complete fail. I've got criticisms of all four administrations that presided over this thing. Fair and Balanced
I understand the bipartisan nature of the failure in Afghanistan.

    $2T spent

    352,000 Afghan security forces trained

    2,000 Americans KIA

The failure to evacuate American diplomats and other U.S.personnel; and the 18,000 interpreters (and their families) prior to the withdrawal of U.S. troops has been an epic failure, an embarrassment and a national humiliation. The buck stops with Biden.

The Administration figured the Afghani Government would last 30-90 days, not 30-90 hours.

    Failure of intelligence?

I would say almost certainly a failure of intelligence. Which is its own issue that needs addressing now.
    How?

James Clapper, former CIA Director under Obama, denied on CNN today that it was a failure of intelligence.
If intelligence was saying the Afghan forces will fold like a cheap card table in a matter of minutes, let's hear about it.

500 out of 4,000 Embassy Staff were flown out of Afghanistan today . . .

Chaos at Kabul Airport . . . Americans encouraged to shelter in place.

When you announce four months ahead of time exactly when you're leaving you give the enemy four months to plan and prepare.
There was a date certain when Daddy left office too.

Really? You had an intelligence source saying the Taliban will overrun the country in a matter of hours?
