I don’t think there’s a conspiracy. P-5 conference football coaches are just petty and dicks.
Most would rather shit broken glass than give a competitor credit. Wilner wrote about this in 2019 and said the other coaches didn’t like Mario’s chest meat hanging around the recruiting trail.
Interesting Data:
Number of first team All Pac-12 selections for the champion of the conference of champions, special teams not included. I didn’t find AP all conference teams prior to 2015 on one googling.
Coaches selections vs (AP)
2016 Washington: 9 (AP 6)
2015 Stanford: 6 (AP 6)
2017 USC: 6 (AP 4)
2018 Washington: 6 (AP 5)
2012 Stanford: 5
2013 Stanford: 5
2014 Oregon: 5
2011 Oregon: 4
2020 Oregon: 2 (AP 3)
2019 Oregon: 1 (AP 5, Cristobal COTY)
Small sample size. It does show that Pac-12 coaches didn’t like Oregon before and certainly don’t now. -
What are they bitching about. I missed it

That data is incorrect. Kayvon counts as 2 votes.

This is retarded on so many levels. It doesn’t matter who recruited players for post-season awards.haie said:It happened in 2019 because Meat is a speed limit IQ douche and all the coaches knew he was winning with Helf's guyz.
The "handshake" after the P12CG that year. lol
The next year with his own recruits they're opting out left and right and he's losing to Cal, Beavlet, and squeaking by UCLA's backup qb.
The opt outs were Graham, Holland, Breeze, and Sewell. One of those players was recruited by Cristobal.
I am sure last year was the “correct” trend. -
