Jeff Lindy ILTCHTI think Williams is the better QB of the two, but Lindquist took care of the ball more during the spring.
It really depends on how they perform during fall camp, but I'm guessing Lindquist gets the nod first with Williams getting maybe 40% of the snaps. -
Jeff Lindy ILTCHTHugh Millen approves

Troy WilliamsSpring ball means nothing and Williams is more talented. If you have even one iota of concern that Miles might fuck up again you want the better long-term solution prepared.

Williams starts ... more important that he doesn't transfer than Lindy.

Jeff Lindy ILTCHTJeff Lindy - Makes your whites whiter.

I think Jeff Lindquist made a good impression on the staff, he was able to get out of the 'ignore all others' myopic approach that Sark used. He has the size, speed and got the job done. Now this could all change due to injuries or one of the others blowing up big, but i doubt it. I think Miles will be shelved.
-
The FieldAfter hitting the goal post at practice, Hugh Millen will be called back for the start.
-
Jeff Lindy ILTCHTBecause he's a heady player. Is always in the film room. A real gym rat. Reminds me of Wes Welker.
-
Stringfellow plays QB?
On a serious note, isn't Myley Cyrus your starter? -
Jeff Lindy ILTCHTLindquist, with about a 75/25 run:pass ratio. Our OL should absolutely maul them.

I just read where Miles is suspended for the season opener.

Williams is "more talented"? I'd argue that (but he is better at escaping the rush and buying time). But it doesn't matter in Pete's system. Who is accurate, who reads coverage quicker, finds the open man then zips it in that small window accurately and who throws it to the guy in purple. Lindquist is better thus far relative to that criteria (at least was in Spring).haie said:Spring ball mis so versatileans nothing and Williams is more talented. Don't get me wrong, I want Williams to start. He Is so versatile and throws a very tight spiral with the best velocity on the team . I hope he gets equal time with the ones in fall. But remember Miles will be splitting reps too (at least until game week or two weeks.). It's all prolly moot as both will play @ Hawaii. Whoever moves the ball better is your backup to Miles. However I think Lindy will be that guy and possibly push Miles for the starter nod.
The shitty thing is I don't see TW sticking it out as 3rd stringer and he could end up starting at some point. Hope he's patient and a team player. -
Jeff Lindy ILTCHTLindquist is smart and has 'intangibles' the other QB's don't
-
Troy WilliamsThey should try Troy Williams at WR.

Miles won't be splitting meaningful reps as a #3 qb who is suspended. What a waste of fucking time that would be... not to mention the fraud that would make this suspension.puppylove_sugarsteel said:

Hardy Har HarWhat difference does it make? This is not your June Jones/Tommy Chong squads of a few years ago

He's going to get time with the 1's until game week. Peterman said he wants to throw him in there to compete with the other guys. They aren't going to have him playing with the scout team. He's going to be getting his timing down with Kasen, Mickens, Ross, Perkins, and Daniels (Great weapons btw. Would be scary good with String). Miles is still the favorite to be the starter. Neither guy stood out in Spring, Riva said today he thought Miles would start, and Peterman said, "absolutely" when asked if Miles could still be the starter game 2.sarktastic said:

I think that Puppy is right in that both Lindquist and Williams will play against Hawaii. Hawaii didn't win a MWC game last year. They are terrible and we will blow them out by at least 35 no matter who starts at QB.
