Helluva athlete and competitor despite the coaching and recruiting during his time at UW.
When I think of Locker, I will always remember his incredible running/scrambling ability and all the big hits he took (before targeting was penalized).
Dude gave his all to the program. Don’t know if that qualifies for Husky HOF.

I mock him now, but was a pretty dedicated defender when he was at UW. I didn't love him, or even like everything about him, but he had talent and played hard. He had to suffer some tough circumstances.trublue said:Helluva athlete and competitor despite the coaching and recruiting during his time at UW.

He gave up about 30 million to stay for his senior year.

It doesn’t. There are scholarship athletes who barely play and give their all to the program. Locker was a good dude, but statistically pretty bad and not built for much else but a wishbone.trublue said:Helluva athlete and competitor despite the coaching and recruiting during his time at UW.

True . . . But Locker was a unique talent and had other options . . .MelloDawg said:

Would have loved to see Locker running Chip Kelly’s offense (the Read-Option) at Oregon . . . He had the misfortune of attending UW when the football program was bottoming out (coaching & to a lesser extent, recruiting).
Dixon was outstanding his senior year (2007) and first year under Chip Kelly as offensive coordinator.
Prior to that, he was wildly inconsistent. -
I think Jake was a great guy and a wonderful person. But this isn't the Great Guys Hall of Fame.RoadDawg55 said:
7,639 yards and 53 td passes/ 35 INTs over 4 years.
W-L Records during UW career:
2007: 4-9
2008: 0-12
2009: 5-7
2010: 7-6
Highlights:
Beat #3 USC in 2009
Beat USC on the road in 2010
Beat Nebraska in 2010 Holiday Bowl
As I wrote about in Bow Down to Willingham, when 30+ UW players came to Jake and asked him to join them in going to Emmert to demand Willingham's firing, Jake said no.
Does all this say Husky Hall of Fame to you?
