I've held this opinion since last year as well. He either has no idea what he's doing or he really doesn't care. Either way, it's on Jimmy for keeping him around. Recruiting dbs to UW should be the easiest recruiting position on the staff. Those faggots. Harris was here for how long before Pete left? He was supposed to be doing the behind the scenes recruiting of future classes beginning several years ago IIRC. Another thing that doesn't make any sense about DB recruiting is the Bookie situation. Guy seems to be legitimately popular in the college football world in general and he is so far happy with the coaching, scheme, and team he has here, after coming from oklahoma!. How do you fuck up that clout? How are these morons this bad at this? The more I think about it the less it makes any sense.

Freeman, (the new DC), was rated the 4th best recruiter in the country by 247 before getting to ND. He was from Ohio State, (NFL too), then was the lead recruiter & DC that turned Cincinnati into a top 10 team. He chose ND over LSU & a few other SEC schools. Since he was hired 6 months ago he offered and received commitments from the following 4 & 5 Star kids:
LB Burnham (top 100 Michigan legacy)
LB Jr Nuiafe (top 100 flipped from USC)
LB Sneed (top 30, 5 Star MVP)
DE Ford (top 100,
DE Vernon (9th Overall ‘23, OSU Flip)
DE Keeley (top 100 ‘23, Florida)
DE Gobraia (top 150, PSU Flip)
DE Agu (Over Bama & Clemson)

Marcus Freeman is an animal. Mike Mickens is also a great recruiter too.

Per the script, Ektard now says we might only take DB in this class so it's not a big deal that we've whiffed on every prospect we've offered. There's no chance this actually happens but they need to provide Harris/Brown some cover right now because the doogs are getting restless.

No chance of that happening. Bookie and McDuffie are gone for sure, Kyler might leave if he has a breakout year. Cook is a senior although he could come back. At least 1-2 couch sales are possible (Asa). We play 5 DBs the majority of the time so I definitely see us taking at least 3 this class.CallMeBigErn said:

There was all this talk on dawgman about how it's understandable that Morrison changed his mind because he realized how stacked our db room is. I'm like, what? Who?
We have 3 starters who are likely gone next year if they produce, 3 safeties who have playing time but sucked and then our bench is 3* central.
