Jimmy bent over right along with everyone else.RaceBannon said:Jimmy will get blamed and water is wet but if you don't see a difference in how Ohio State and UW handled the last year you aren't looking very hard
Actions have consequences. The Pac 12 and UW may have been right. Sadly, that's no longer the point nor does it matter. The Bucks won a playoff game after fighting the B1G to get the season in. Only then did the Pac 12 follow along only to pussy out and let Oregon Rep The North
That's what this class was looking at and what JTT had to take into account.
The new kid is right - Jimmy needs to win big on the field this year to get the stink of last year off the program
Ryan Day was a new coach as well and yet publicly advocated for a season. Jimmy would have been roasted by a lot of you and you know who you are but he still should have stood up to Jen and the league and been a hero to the players
Plenty of blame for everyone
He's not alone but he's far from exempt.
Truth is he was the one with the most to lose by bending over. And he did. -
All this. I cannot forget that MAC programs with maybe 25% the resources of even WSU played 10-12 games, and did just fine. They did it because football was important to them.dnc said:

Not playing the P12 championship game was the most egregious failure of many failuresGrundleStiltzkin said:

We should have forfeited the game to USC if nothing else. Letting Oregon take our spot was disgracefuldnc said:

I want JTT to pick Oregon just for the sure fire entertainment this board will provide. The meltdown and wrath on this thread will force me to more than likely miss a day of work. It would be delicious

It's not going to happen for you though. -
I completely agree with you. Something miraculous would have to happen for him to not pick Ohio St. But, it's like buying a $300 million Mega Millions lotto ticket and fantasizing what it would be like if you won.dnc said:

That's the real issue. Jimmy probably sucks because most coaches do but if he doesn't suck we still have the administration that sucks and hates winning and winnersSources said:

Jimmy can only succeed here by sucking. If he doesn't suck he leaves or gets fired.
Major Major is always in when he isn't in. If Major Major is in he isn't in. -
Ohio State fans, who manage to make most of the people here seem reasonable and likable, think that being in a HUGE CITY like Columbus is a difference maker. Playing in the 35th biggest metropolitan area in the US provides opportunities JTT could only dream of in backwaters like LA or Seattle.hardhat said:
I guess JTT wasn't swayed by the opportunity to drive trucks for Amazon and poop and pee in bags after a glorious college football career. What a dummy. -
HH Rules: Be miserable. Never allow for rational evaluation. Never give benefits of the doubt. Never allow time for adjustments/improvement. Never assume or note that there are any positives about Jimmy Lake and the UW program. We're the worst program in the country until proven otherwise. I mean, shit, the Coogs just got an RB we offered. This clearly means UW is a dumpster fire. See how I did that? That's how it's done.lvd said:Will be interesting to see what happens. Sometimes in-state kids have to leave in order to grow - even if its not the best decision overall. Giving Jimmy Lake the benefit of the doubt until after a normal full year of coaching and recruiting. He seems to be bringing in players with a tougher mentality on offense and team did surprisingly well until the Stanford game last year when players go sick. I assume he is making the adjustments for a better year which will lead to better recruiting.
I don't even have to see the responses to know that you're going to be held over an open flame for your post. The only thing I really disagree with is the part about Stanford. We should have massacred those clowns and there are no excuses for that loss.
Stay strong and welcome, friend. -

That last point is fair. JTT would struggle to get endorsements at UW and Oregon over the kids at Wsu, osu, ewu, and Portland state who are pulling themselves up by their bootstraps. Local businesses love the underdogs.RatherBeBrewing said:

Great graphic. Connecting UW athletes with these companies is out of the question. Someone has to make it happen. And it's not Jen Cohen. She's already let it slip she's working on starting a business with Peterman. Seriously.hardhat said:

Whether Peterman views her the same way, isn't the point. She's focused on a new path. She's an empty skirt. Explains her Twitter absence and perfunctory media remarks. Woodward built a stadium and at least tried to win. Jen Cohen is a fraud. -
This place predictably bitches out for a solid week or two before big targets publicly commit elsewhere. Once it actually happens things become tolerable again within a day or so. During the lead up though...christ.backthepack said:You guys are fags.

The 49th highest rated recruit Washington has ever signed versus someone who would be the highest rated defensive recruit that Ohio State or Alabama has ever signed are not quite the same thing.greenblood said:

I was bummed losing Molden because I knew he’d be a star at the college level and it would be bad optics. But no one outside of UW or UO would care. Losing JTT to tOSU is one thing, but having him go to your rival? That’s as bad as it can possibly be for a football programs teen boy acquisition reputation. -
Not when it gets too hot. They won't tolerate inhumane conditions. The nasty donut maker union (NDMU) is drawing a hard line.greenblood said:

Twitter has started rolling out a new Tip Jar feature on its Android and iOS apps, which (as rumored) will allow users to send money directly to their favorite accounts.
To use the tip jar, simply tap on the freshly added dollar bill icon next to someone’s username when viewing their profile on one of Twitter’s mobile apps. Users will be able to toggle the tip jar feature, too (for those individuals or organizations that don’t want people just sending them cash out of the blue). Android users will also be able to send money in Twitter’s Clubhouse-like Spaces.
Tip Jar supports a variety of payment options and links: Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, Paypal, and Venmo. Twitter is using those services’ external payment processors for transactions; it doesn’t take a cut. All English language Twitter users can send tips starting today, but only a select group (including “creators, journalists, FIVE STAR RECRUITS experts, and nonprofits”) can turn on the feature to accept money for now.

I can see now why chris peterson would be burned out of the job from "fans" such as yourselves. I am more convinced that JL might be the right person for this job as he seems better able to brush off irrationality better than most. Some of the comments on this forum are highly "suspect" whether the intentions are to drive recruits elsewhere. Positivity is definitely lacking
