New Law Requires Florida Students to Be Taught About ‘The Evils of Communism’

Take a trip to Eastern Europe. I’ve been to several countries there. Visit with people who are 50+ years old who were in school during the 60s 70s and 80s. What the describe is horrifying.WestlinnDuck said:
I learned about communism in school. I learned it was real bad. Had one teacher that actually visited the Soviet Union. She packed a lot of gum and extra pairs of Levi jeans. Her story about handing out gum to children and that many had never had any and gifting jeans to some adults she befriended made a lasting impression. She told us of the stores with basically nothing to "sell" and telling us how lucky we were to have our freedom, liberty and material wealth. In the 9th grade we read the Soviet Constitution and our teacher told us what a pile of crap it was and that all the human rights enumerated in the document were lies and we went through the specific examples of why. So, I have no problem with learning about communism as long as it is actually factual. Take the Slobberer. He actively ignores all the facts about communism as do all the BernieBros. Intellectual curiosity and examining the actual facts were not part of the Slobberer's education process and he has no interest in making that part of the nation's current education curriculum.UW_Doog_Bot said:

The communists co opted the environment movement some time ago. The Dazzler missed it
Key goals outlined in the Portland Resolution include:
• redefine our economies and call for an end to the fossil fuel era
• develop and implement curriculum that addresses climate change and climate justice in all Portland Public Schools (pre-K through 12th grade)
• all students should see themselves as activists and leaders for social justice and environmental justice
What does the PPS mandate for “all students” to see themselves as activists for social justice and environmental justice entail? What does social justice mean? Facing the Future, one of the leading Education for Sustainability groups, defines social justice as:
“Social justice is the movement towards eliminating oppression and ultimately achieving equality in the distribution of goods and wealth among all groups in a society.”
Training “all students” to be social justice activists requires every student to conform and to adopt the political belief that ‘all wealth and goods must be distributed equally’ within our society.
In other words, brainwash innocent children and train students to be political activists so they will vote to impose social justice policies as adults.
What Would It Take To Achieve Social Justice?
Before ‘all wealth and goods’ could be distributed equally, ‘all wealth and goods’ would first have to be seized and controlled. Achieving social justice would require dictatorial power over the American people.
The CIA (United States Central Intelligence Agency) defines a Communist system of government as:
“Communist – a system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single – often authoritarian – party holds power; state controls are imposed with the elimination of private ownership of property or capital while claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.”
Communism eliminates “private ownership of property or capital” to control people and is based on the idea that all wealth and “all goods are equally shared”. Social justice is communism.

I remember you from The Shed, Counselor.
Your father was a retired school teacher. You spilled your age. You’re old enough to collect social security. Figure the math. You most likely graduated from high school during the Carter administration.
Law degree and MBA from UW . . . How many times did we hear that? Flunked your Bar exam the first time . . .
Based on many years of posting, I can state with certainty that you skipped or slept through criminal law classes during law school.

BTW: The Counselor is seriously trolling in this thread. He’s not smart, but he can’t possibly be this ignorant. He likes attention, even if it’s negative.

Triple shit post.

Ever hear of the “Berlin Wall” or the “Iron Curtain”? If not, please educate yourself.TheKobeStopper said:“We want all students to understand the difference,” he said. “Why would somebody flee across shark-infested waters … why would people leave these countries and risk their lives to be able to come here? It’s important that students understand that.”
I know this argument really appeals to the conservative brain but you guys know people flee capitalist countries to come here too, right?
The barriers were built to keep citizens of Eastern European Communist utopias from fleeing in mass to the West, not to keep the Western Europeans citizens from breaking into the communist countries.
Those who tried to escape from Eastern Europe were shot on sight by border guards.
Hope this helps round out your education . . . -
“ . . . but you guys know people flee capitalist countries to come here too, right?”
Powerful argument there, @TKS.
Seriously? They “flee” capitalist countries to come here . . . I don’t believe the word “flee” applies to your question.
Examples?
They flee from totalitarian dictatorships that may not be communist or socialist. -
Double shit post.
-
What capitalist countries do they “flee” to come here?

The Counselor thanks you for being loyal, Comrade.TheKobeStopper said:Triple shit post.

Mark Steyn left Canada to come here. As did lots of Canadian musicians and actors. More freedom, more opportunity in a bigger market. But they were not fleeing. Lots of Brits are here for the same reason. More freedom and opportunity than in the UK. Lots of Indians are here. Wouldn't call India a capitalist country but they weren't fleeing. On the whole, they are respectful to their new country and some are outright patriots. Now lots of Mexicans that did flee corrupt and socialist Mexico and many hate this country. Check out the recent US-Mexico soccer match. Same with lots of Muslim refugees. Look at how grateful Ilhan Omar is. Once again, the Slobberer is an ignorant liar and hates this country.trublue said:What capitalist countries do they “flee” to come here?

I nominate Venezuela as TKS’s destination. Once he gets hungry enough, he can flee to Columbia.

That's what is so frustrating is that for decades, since the 1960s that line has been continuously used but for some reason it always ends up like Cambodia or Venezuela or marxist Chile. The Counselor is suddenly at a loss for words.
How’s your father? Is he still alive and a conservative?
