I know your post is sarcasm, but is there any truth to that as the kinda shit dmc was selling its "insiders"?RoadDawg55 said:I would hope this site has the ability to call a spade a spade. Losing a highly praised 4 star LB who we were supposedly leading for and the top in state player from 2016 isn't good. Duke over UW? What the fuck? I know Peterman will recruit fine, but if we got these kids a lot of you guys would be saying, "I thought Peterman can't recruit, Kim!!??!!"
I just checked Realdawg (I know, I know, lighting myself on fire... or wait until I finish) and their national experts had him 56% Duke, 38% Stanford and only 6% UW. He was never coming to UW. If dmc was saying anything other than Duke or Stanford the whole time, they are FS. -
The LB prospect looked like a good one but also needed to bulk up a bit as he was probably 30-40 pounds under what you'd want out of a college LB.
Generally speaking, if a kid chooses to go to a school like Stanford, Duke, Northwestern, etc., I'm not going to slam a kid for taking a great education and the connections that you get in those places. I'm not saying that the kid wouldn't get a great education or connections in Seattle, but the UW education doesn't come with the same sizzle as those others. -
I wasn't really being sarkastic. I'm not at all worried about recruiting under Peterman, but I'm not going to poo-poo any guy that chooses to go elsewhere. Anyways, I don't really follow recruiting in July, but I was under the assumption UW lead for him. Your numbers show that wasn't true.whatshouldicareabout said:

Looks like we picked up a relatively raw from an experience standpoint but quality looking CB prospect that has a chance to be a big, physical type.
The thing with this TBS stuff is that it's not about where a player is today but where they will be 2-3 years from now. Until proven otherwise, I've got no reason to not trust in Petersen. -
Uw recruiting list will look a lot different after winning 10 or 11 games. Not worried yet. Not good news but not worried.
-
If this class is filled with 7-10 4-star and above players and the rest is rounded out by very solid 3-star players ... I'll consider this class a success.
-
It goes without saying that we do our best to call a spade a spade. If UW goes 8-5 this year (with that ridiculous schedule) I will be seriously questioning whether Petersen is the right coach for us.

This. Kids will change their mind a lot between now and signing day. If uw wins, recruiting will take care of itself. If uw goes 8-5 I would think we made the wrong hire.DerekJohnson said:It goes with saying that we do our best to call a spade a spade. We need HH LIFPO UW shirts... I would buy one.

Every year the NFL draft is littered with 2* and 3* guys while many 4* and 5* guys aren't even considered as UDFA's.
When will some of you begin to realize 'star' value is assessed in large part by analysts and experts that never played or coached any sport, anywhere.
Peterman's track record suggests he doesn't give a fuck what Kim or Ruth or Lemming think.
