No, no, no. It's only a 2 or 3 block area.trublue said:Take a drive thru downtown.
Burnside down to PSU.
Waterfront to I-405.
Check out the damage to the federal courthouse and the Justice Center.
Tents everywhere.
Shuttered up businesses with graffiti . . .
Tent camps popping up all over eastside.
I-205 bike path . . . Tent camps spilling over into neighborhoods.
So say my nieces and nephews who live there.
To which I reply, Bull-Fucking-Shit. -

We choke in the first round of the playoffs. -
Portland is easily the pussiest city in the us. Seattle is equally as bad but they hide behind Portland because they don't want to make a noise.

I get screen shots from my high school classmate who is a black cop in Portland

Sounds like people of color are dangerous and can't be trusted to not get all violent
Way to go lefties. Your racism continues unabated -
The news had a half hour story last night on portland “gun violence”. (As if guns, not gangs are driving the violence) Lots of reasons and solutions. However gangs and cutting police budgets and units aren’t really in the top few reasons worthy of mentioning. Lots of “community” solutions needed. The only community solution needed is for kids to have father in their life and break the cycle of single moms and government dependency. Of course, that never makes it into the discussion.LoneStarDawg said:I get screen shots from my high school classmate who is a black cop in Portland

Lots of discussions from leftards about "community" solutions which means lots of kumbaya talk and funneling money to failed community organizers. Works every time it has been tried since the War on Poverty was enacted in the 1960s and trillions have been spent. What did work is policing and having a government that encouraged private sector business growth which led to record low unemployment and middle class wage growth. But socialism!MikeDamone said:

Insanity to remove the basic tools from police.
The vehicle always had an alternate title: Probable Cause. EVERY patrol cop does most of his work with it. Traffic cops are often in pursuits and other incidents simply because they are out enforcing it as their main duty. -

Just heard the latest you posted. No surprise.
The writer is the designated Crime coverage reporter for OregonLive.com. Pathetic excuse for a reporter, yet won some kind of award last year.
Has basically done little to no coverage of the Antifa “Live Action” riots.
Doesn’t bother to go out to the protests.
Same with local TV coverage, I think.
