‘Twas. His excellence was only surpassed by MJ and Kobe imo.

    Duncan lost one Finals

    Do you know to who?

Bird didn't run the offense and played with 3 hall of famers and went to half as many finals and has one less ring

Ginoble kind of handed that one away. But the real iron law of winners win applies.

For the balance of LBJ’s time in the East it was mostly Charmin soft ... similar to how the West was Charmin soft for the Lakers and Magic

But in the end, the Lakers handled their business by beating the Sixers 2x, the Celtics 2x, and the Pistons

When splitting hairs that type of stuff matters

Of LBJs 4 titles, 1 was incredibly lucky and another was in a strange environment where it is probably debatable if he was the top or 2nd player on his team

Honestly, I wouldn't have a problem with Lebron if he wasn't such an insufferable bitch.

Outside of Lebron and Curry, there aren't any players behind them that draw crowds. If the NBA doesn't find a suitable group of players behind them, the NBA could be in big trouble.

People want to see the NBA fail

Interesting to see what happens to ratings now.

The first round might have been the best

It's not going to be as pretty round 2

Big problem lots of people have with the NBA is that it resembles AAU ball in how teams are constructed. Nets Big 3 played 7 or 8 games together all year and, even with Harden out, they mow down the competition come playoff time. Not even competitive. It's boring.

In the NFL, a bad small market team can be one great draft and a couple free agents away from making a conference title game. In the NBA, the small market teams need multiple drafts, because star player free agents won’t go there. And by the time the small market team builds a contender through said draft, the earlier drafted star leaves for a bigger market super team. Teams like Minnesota, Memphis, Sacramento, Orlando, etc. in today’s environment can’t build a constant contender.

I will not buy any product sponsored by the NBA. It's not even a conscious decision. I won't do it. I just won't.

People said the same thing after MJ. Then they found Kobe, Iverson, Shaq, Lebron, Curry. They’ll be fine.

Kobe, iverson, and Shaq were in the league during Jordan. We knew they would shine. Lebron is a once in a generation talent, even though he could have been even better. Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA. What I’m saying is, there isn’t anybody ready to take the reigns, and time is running out.

The NBA hyped Shaq and Orlando harder than any other player or team ever after He was drafted.

Orlando, despite being a middling Eastern Conference Team, was always on the Primetime slots. Even when they didn’t deserve to be.

There are few transcendent personalities in the league now other than Curry and LeBron.

Plenty of talent waiting in the wings. But not personalities. And in order to advance a Pro Sports league, you need to have them. Devon Booker, Luka, Joker, Dame, Beal, Mitchell are great players.

However none of them transcend the game.

I think the closest they have is Trae Young

He could. Gotta win though. And it doesn’t necessarily need to be this Series. He’s definitely got personality.

Luka seems to be a pretty big deal and he plays in a good market for stardom albeit on a shit team. They'll attract some stars and get Cuban another championship at some point.
