I now find pessimism annoying

The O-line and defensive front 7 are stocked with upperclassmen with tons of playing experience.
Mickens and Ross. Cooper and Callier (The RBs we thought we would have two years ago)
A 4 star QB in his third year in the program with significant game experience.
A schedule that is ridiculously easy.
And one of the top 5 coaches in CFB.
The only possible problem is an inexperienced defensive backfield.
And yet some people insist on having......concerns
The truth is this: Sark did recruit some studs, and now we have a coach who knows what he is doing.
Washington is about to become WASHINGTON again.
11-2. At least.

Peterson acts like Ty and hasn't proven himself at this level. I'm not saying he is Ty or can't win, so don't be a twister.

This isn't Boise State anymore. This is the loaded TUFF Pac-12. Petersen has yet to show an ability to recruit and win on a consistent level yet. I am not saying he can't do it, I am just saying he hasn't yet and there are a few signs that are a little concerning.MikeDamone said:Peterson acts like Ty and hasn't proven himself at this level. Agree, but it's not like the OL has been great. The experience on the OL is huge, but they need to be a lot better than the past two years. I am optimistic since Sark and Cozz are gone, but I don't think they are incredible either. The DL could be very good, but they had games last year where they were shit.
Mickens and Ross. Cooper and Callier (The RBs we thought we would have two years ago)
I think Washington is our best RB. Coleman might be the #2 guy as well. He's gotten some praise. Callier is a good back up RB who is versatile. If he's our main guy though, I think we are in trouble. Mickens and Ross are great, but we also need Kasen to be healthy.

A lot of 4 star QB's suck. Probably even the majority of them. I do like Miles though and think he is a good player. Hopefully, he's not suspended when the season starts, although the first game or 2 doesn't matter much.
A schedule that is ridiculously easy.
Agree.

To be determined. Anyway that doesn't recognize Peterman is our best coach since DJ is a fucking idiot. I'm very happy he's our coach, but it's too early to say he's a top 5 coach. This is a new challenge. He's certainly an upgrade over Sark though.

Every team has concerns. Alabama and Florida State fans are concerned about things too. You can be optimistic and still have concerns.
The truth is this: Sark did recruit some studs, and now we have a coach who knows what he is doing.

Ease the fuck up, Aubbie. 11-2 will be a very successful season. It's possible, but stop with the at least shit. It seems like almost everyone here is predicting 10 wins or more, but getting to 11-2 would be a major accomplishment. Pessimism now bothers you? Every year you think UW is going to kill it, then you make excuses when they don't. If Van Winkle doesn't stay healthy, it will explain a lot. -
Dwayne Warshington, dammit.

It going to be interesting to see if Peterson can handle playing against teams that have lots of rough kids from the inner city. While at BSU he only played against teams that have a bunch of really smart gym rat type players like BYU and Wyoming. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to all those scary inner city kids that play with less brains and more length week in and week out. If not it will still be interesting.CuntWaffle said:

This should be a pretty damn good team. There are plenty of reasons they could win less than 11 games. Some might call them concerns.
And you've ALWAYS found pessimism in July annoying. -

That is not entirely true. Many years I have looked at our on-paper talent, and said we were going to finally turn it around, but bad coaching (or a ton of injuries in 2012) caused us to underachieve.dnc said:

This team now has everything it needs to win big - including a great coach -
Don't count on Cooper & Callier. Maybe Callier can outrun the worst defense in the slowest conference but thats about it.
Dwiz Nasty (Dwayne Washington) is going to have a breakout campaign and Shaq & Coleman will supplement. -
Please stick to the 5 reasons format of having only 5 reasons. And mention Oasai.

You're not actually responsible conference power rankings.

Now I am not saying Peterson is like Ty, But not once has Peterson mentioned how they are here to win Rose Bowls and National Championships. In fact, he hasn't mentioned that at all. Sark mentioned it all the time, and I liked that a lot, it shows he is confident in himself. Peterson is a lot like Ty, don't go twisting though and say I said they are the same, because I didn't.... But they are.
Like the hire though -
But seriously. I agree with you, Aubs. I can't see UW winning less than 10 games quite honestly. I have UW at 11-2 this year too, but I think they lose a game that I have as a win and go 10-3. My only real concern is having a new staff in place and the learning curve that is required. I think that might be what holds UW back from 11-2, 12-1.

I do also agree that Dwayne Washington is going to be the next NFL RB from UW (IF he can stay healthy). Really think he is going to shock stupid fans of UW out there.

In my minds eye (Hi Hugh Millen) I have the next 5 years going like this for Peterman:
10-3
9-3
10-2
11-1
12-0
Sorry, I'm doogin now. I'll stop. -

MY MAILBAG was filled to the brim with absolute gems from my favorite Husky fans this week. "Your worst nightmares have just been realized: Washington is awesome again," came from Dave in Auburn. -
It's early, but I don't think it will be that bad. I think we will be better than most think in 2015.GrundleStiltzkin said:

I am also really concerned about the state of the program because of a QB recruit who still has a year of High School football left. There are signs out there he is throwing a lot and his arm is sore, he also couldn't participate in some of the faggy camps that the TBS douchepeppers attend. It's hard not to point out a correlation with the Ty regime.
I also have some stuff I have been hearing from my sources inside the program, they aren't good either, like at all. This stuff I can't post about but if you want the skinny be in the chat later tonight.
I am optimistic about the future of CP (have I mentioned how much I approved of the hire?) but to say the start is a little rocky is a complete understatement. -
Callier's a 3rd down back for us ... if he's doing that then that means that we're going to have a good year running the football.
The OL was young in 2012 ... but we ran the football well.
We ran the football pretty well last year with the exception I believe of 3 games (all on the road); and even the Stanford and UCLA games were reasonably decent given the opposition. The pass blocking seemed worse than it was because of how many sacks Price took.
This will be the best OL that we've had since 2000 this year ... COOK IT!!!
Over/Under for wins this year is 10.5 ... PERIOD!!!.
I'm not for picking unders too often and I'd prefer if we gave the naysayers a nice big fat shit burger to munch on ... 11-2 or GTFO. -
This poast ain't shit if it don't say which type of car each Pac 12 team represent.
