Virginia moving to eliminate all accelerated math courses before 11th grade as part of equity-focused plan

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is moving to eliminate all accelerated math options prior to 11th grade, effectively keeping higher-achieving students from advancing as they usually would in the school system.

Hey they "feel" advance math classes are racist, therefore we need to listen to them.

    As someone that consistently was taking math classes 2-3 years ahead at all times ...

    I can’t imagine how unmotivated I would have been by being stunted in growth and development

    Basically this is going to push education away from the public to private sector

    And you're right, this is just another advantage for those who can pay to play
    There's no doubt this isn't happening at the expensive private schools guys like Biden send their kids to so that they don't have to grow up in a "racial jungle."

    The sheep that think this is a good idea are clueless to the implications

    This isn’t going to impact anybody with $$$ as they’ll move to private sources ...

    So effectively what is happening is a blatant shift at separating the have’s and have not’s ... education will completely be dependent upon how much $$$ you have

    I want EVERYBODY to have an opportunity to get a good education, to be able to pursue educational pursuits and their dreams ... this is NOT going to result in that
