Pretty sure their recruitments predated Ballz. There were a lot of people dooging over them on the TBS bored though, myself chincluded.RatherBeBrewing said:1. Those guys suck so it’s not really a loss.
2. This is a run the damn ball type of offense so they think they can suck slightly less elsewhere where it’s a non run the damn ball type of situation.
3. I’m too lazy to go through old threads to find the hot ballz takes explaining how awesome they will be but I’m sure they’re fantastic reading.
We are bringing in 4-star WR's with fucking ease. WR recruiting literally can't get much better than where it's at you idiot. You're an unrealistic, whiny bitch for constantly wanting more and wanting to get fucking everybody. There's a huge fucking difference between saying "Aaron Fuller, Andre Baccellia, and Jordan Chin are fine" and saying "Ty Jones, Austin Osborne, Marquis Spiker, and Taj Davis are fine and we can win with them." Huge fucking gap in physical talent between those two groups.
Yes bitch, when it comes to talent evaluation and allocating the scholarships I TRUST THE COACHES because at this point in the program's development they are no longer having to reach way down their board for a Jordan Chin type recruit. They are getting top of the board guys. Chris Petersen is the best talent elevator in the country! The program is rolling. Doesn't mean you can't criticize certain specific details, or strategy, or OLB recruiting but you are fucking reaching and look like a whiny bitch when criticizing WR recruiting. I'm sure you would feel better if we had Pittman and Delgado on the commit list because they have 4-stars next to their names even though they're midgets.
If we had fucking 12 clones of Dante Pettis on the roster our WR corps would be good enough to win a national championship. Same with Osborne, Spiker, Jones, Davis. NFL talent is NFL talent and we're bringing in NFL talent at WR. I can't help you if you're too dumb or shortsighted to see that. The difference is instead of just having two NFL WR's on the roster like we did with Ross and Pettis, we will have many.

That’s beautiful. Now look at Delgado and Pittman’s production compared to that hall of fame WR group he rattled off.RatherBeBrewing said:

24/7 recruitment assessments:
1. UO Franklin 4 star 98.10
2. UO Williams 4 star 97.91
3. UO Thornton 4 star 97.21
4. UW Jalen 4 star 97.01
5. UO Pittman 4 star 95.78
6. UO Wilhoite 4 star 94.12
7. UO Crocker 4 star 92.74
8. UO Brevard 4 star 92.63
9. UO Redd 4 star 92.43
10. UO Delgado 4 star 91.82
11. UW Rome 4 star 91.75
12. UO Hutson 4 star 91.58
13. UW Bynum 4 star 91.05
14. UW Jabez 4 star 90.16
15. UW Polk 3 star 88.09
16. UW Taj 3 star 87.96
17. UW Sawyer 3 star 85.66
18. UO Johnson 3 star 82.26
Actual career college production of these players:
Oregon: 295 receptions, 3,798 yards, 33 TDs
UW: 74 receptions. 850 yards. 4 TDs
UW only. 46 receptions. 586 yards. 2 TDs
Included is newly transferred UW WR Polk's stats from his time at Texas Tech:
28 receptions, 264 yards, 2 TDs
So roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of that total UW production depending on the category did not occur on UW's roster in a Husky uniform.

UW - the paper giant in their own minds. Oregon has the better WR unit between the two teams.

Unfortunately, so does everybody else.dnc said:
Yeah this is completely wrong. They aren't recruiting kids to be block first wideouts. They want to run-run-run-throw deep. They want receivers who are both big and can get behind the defense. Ty Jones was easier the best blocker they had in the WR room and he stepped down a level because he's getting passed by kids who can get deep.haie said:
It's obvious. With Pete's offense they recruited a lot of finesses guys to try and replace Ross and Pettis who are relied upon in the vaunted shit tier RNG scheme. They never got a guy that could do everything for various reasons. Fuller and Ty just couldn't do it.dnc said:

Now they want to be run heavy and have a Stanford like wr room. Most of those previous guys don't have the frame nor the mentality to be block first, jump ball receivers.
They want one fast slot guy obviously (Jalen) but other than that there was always going to be turnover because of the change in offensive philosophy.
And Jalen is an outside receiver, he's not going to be in the slot. -
All I know is that (1) I heard over and over again that Jones was the best blocking WR UW had; and (2) everybody dooged on Puka and freaked the fuck out that his playing time was unacceptable.
That's what I know. -
