Zero Dark ThirtyZDT / Django / Life of Pi

Surprisingly strong year. I love Silver Linings and Django (other than frequent usage of lever action rifles in the late 1850's).GrundleStiltzkin said:ZDT / Django / Life of Pi

Lincoln@Swaye the Bond Skyfall Planet Ocean kicks ass. Gotta be a big boy to wear it though. That's a thick watch.

F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off...
Honorable mention:
Perhaps weirdest movie ever:

Zero Dark Thirty

Looper also pretty good. Seven Psychopaths was a fun flick. And Cabin in the Woods.
Don't sleep on Chronicle from 2012, good chit.
I see Queen of Versailles was in 2012, and that was a good doc. -

Grading on a curve. I thought movies were pretty much over for me by 2012. Turns out they weren't.GrundleStiltzkin said:

Zero Dark ThirtyWhile it’s not a movie I see myself re-watching, Zero Dark Thirty was fantastic.
Skyfall was a very close second. I recently rewatched it and while it’s not without faults, it would’ve been a *perfect* place to end the Craig films thematically. -
Silver Linings PlaybookThese aren't really Oscar films, but I really like this one and a couple of others. It's hit or miss whether I've seen any of the movies from a given year, but this is one where I saw most of those ones listed.
-
The Dark Knight RisesShockingly solid year for the 2010s. Rises, Silver Linings, Hunger Games, Skyfall, Avengers, all really well done. Haven't seen ZDT but I need to.
Reacher and Chronicle were good, as noted. -
-
Zero Dark ThirtyThis is worthy of being on Yella’s list.

Lincoln@PurpleThrobber is still hard at working seeding our Hottest Actress tourney so until that's up we'll keep running through a few more of these.

Silver Linings Playbook is when I fell in love with JLaw and BCoop. Swoon.
Argo was great.
Fuck the Hunger Games Quadrilogy. Except for the aforementioned JLaw. Great actors tho with the old guy what’s his name, PSH, The Tucc and that one chick. -
The Dark Knight Rises
I refused to watch Hunger Games at first because I rolled my eyes at another Twilight but when I finally got around to seeing it I thought Hunger Games was pretty well done. Nothing like Twilight. Though I do think the "make the third book of a trilogy into two movies" trend is lame as hell.BennyBeaver said:Silver Linings Playbook is when I fell in love with JLaw and BCoop. Swoon.

Who's the lucky guy? -
The Life of PIA great year actually, loved the dark knight and did watch the hunger games and loved it in spite of my bias against it because I expected it to be mindless kid bullshit which of course it was not... voted for PI because of its drug induced story line... I always support the lsd flix whenever they are produced
-
The Life of PII’m beginning to understand the gay as fuck perspective of Benny... I’m now getting why @PurpleBaze suggests strongly that @BennyBeaver needs to fuck off and stay fucked off for the good of all of humanity

Django UnchainedBooks were better than the movies. Movies were better than twilight. Haven't read the sequel.
