Mayor Ted was on TV explaining how tourism in Portland will be back in a year or two. This after another night of rioting in the Pearl. Hotels are at a fraction of capacity and bleeding capital. Then toss in the homelessness problem and Portland isn't going to be on anyone's destination for a visit. When even dumber than a bag of hammers Benny mentions the homelessness problem, you have a big problem. But the people that Benny votes for are the cause of the problem. You want more pigeons, then put out more pigeon food. Then watch the crap stack up.

Mayor Ted is fucked in the head.

Just like every leftard. It is definitely a mental disorder. What surprises me is that there is some business pushback but it's pretty quiet. You would think that both small and big business in Portland and Seattle would be a lot more active and vocal.
They are afraid of the woke mob. It's keeping them quiet.

Correct. And it is a tiny percentage of people creating the illusion of a woke social media mob. Watch from the 11:00 mark on. Stalin posted this a couple days ago.

TBH, I'm uninterested in Tim Pool's take.

I find them to be boring due to confirmation bias.
You try filling 3 hours of programming every single day from your basement without dropping your standards and without confirmation bias!

Yeah, Tim's "on the air" too much, probably to pay the rent and it diminishes the quality and thoughtfulness of his content.

To be honest, it's not Tim Pool's take you should listen to.

It's the guest speaking the truth.

That guy may be a regular because I don't listen to Pool all that often - but his message is very clear. There's an extremely small number of agitators out there revving up the masses. It's their fucking job. And they have a gazillion fake alts touting the company line and appearing to be a woke mob ready to rally outside dissenters' front door or place of business.

    It's all bullshit and theater.

Anyone who doesn't scoff and laugh at China criticizing the U.S. as oppressive, racist, sexist, is dumber than a rock.

Even the Chinese are laughing their asses off at every Lefty Lib who buys their completely fake, hypocritical positions.

China is throwing shit against the wall, and Hollywood & the MSM are the glue that makes it all stick.

We?ve known this is true since before the HRC campaign.

If TP can make more people aware of that fact, great.

It's no wonder TKSfs hates TP. Words out.

With each passing day, this thing is getting more and more insane. I have to believe there is a groundswell of backlash coming from the right and moderate left that will fight back. I refuse to believe that America has become completely pussified.

CCP must think we are such weak-minded fools

I’ve done it myself. Twice. Exploiting is a harsh term tho. I like to call it getting a job done for a good price.
    Its exploration

And it happens on a massive scale

I'm not a fan of the "informal" economy. I'm a tax paying wage slave. I want to other guy to pay their freight too.
That really upsets my wife. And me. But for me its more about the way the worker is taken advantage if. We caught some cock sucker Ukrainian running a company store out of his basement in the 90's when Bill Clinton and the democrats first started fighting this. We have e verified ever since. I've been e verified numerous times. We had to prove every worker we sent on the Bremerton Naval base

The rules are the rules. Its a myth that the end user saves anything because the extra money goes in someone's pocket or you get the shitty job you paid for

The illegal is exploited and the American worker has his wages suppressed. Nice system

I was going to hire a maidsrvice to clean casa de Billy a couple years ago because I'm lazy and I was working a lot of 55 hour weeks. It turns out it cost like $300 for one local agency to do it and I'm pour compared to the Finance Board wizards. I almost hired a friend to do it. just $20 an hour or something, because she doesn't make good money, and her boyfriend's a complete alcoholic, and she needed the money, but there's no way in hell I'm hiring some stranger under the table.

The mom and pop in home daycare for our 3.5 year old, offers a better price for cash on the barrel head. We pay them via check, of course. Rules are the rules.

Some rules are a little more vague. Bought my wife's diamond for the ring in the Portland diamond district. Got 10% off the price for cash cash. Dude who owned the store did some jail time for fencing stolen property. Go figure.

    Disagree.

Cash in Starbucks cups are a necessary evil to compete at the P5 level.

The first time, I was moving and ran to Home Depot in the Uhaul with a friend. We had been moving all day, it was getting late, and I still had some big furniture to move. Saw some migrants outside and had them (three of them) follow me back to help. I paid them $60 for maybe an hour to 1.5 hours of work. I gave them half a bottle of Rum and some weed too.

The next time was when I was driving my gf at the time's Mercedes that she couldn't afford. That's another story tho. Someone had hit her in a parking lot a few days before and left. The left quarter panel was hanging off and there was scratched paint. She had to pay the $500 deductible to get it fixed. She was going to take it in to get fixed in the next couple of days. A guy came up and in broken English told me he could fix it for $100. He convinced me it was an easy fix for him. He did his thing and fixed it perfectly. That was $100 well spent and he fixed it very quickly.

I was always curious when I would see big, new apartment buildings being built in my neighborhood in LA. There were tons of Mexicans working. I never saw a black, white, or Asian person. It seemed pretty obvious that this wasn't legal, but nothing was ever done about it.

There are plenty of legal Mexican Americans in construction

There are illegal eastern European types

Can't judge a book by the cover
