Some rules are a little more vague. Bought my wife's diamond for the ring in the Portland diamond district. Got 10% off the price for cash cash. Dude who owned the store did some jail time for fencing stolen property. Go figure.

I'm not a fan of the "informal" economy. I'm a tax paying wage slave. I want to other guy to pay their freight too.RaceBannon said:

I’ve done it myself. Twice. Exploiting is a harsh term tho. I like to call it getting a job done for a good price.RaceBannon said:Home Depot is of course, where you pick up illegals to exploit
And it happens on a massive scale
Go back to sleep
Cash in Starbucks cups are a necessary evil to compete at the P5 level.

The first time, I was moving and ran to Home Depot in the Uhaul with a friend. We had been moving all day, it was getting late, and I still had some big furniture to move. Saw some migrants outside and had them (three of them) follow me back to help. I paid them $60 for maybe an hour to 1.5 hours of work. I gave them half a bottle of Rum and some weed too.RaceBannon said:

The next time was when I was driving my gf at the time's Mercedes that she couldn't afford. That's another story tho. Someone had hit her in a parking lot a few days before and left. The left quarter panel was hanging off and there was scratched paint. She had to pay the $500 deductible to get it fixed. She was going to take it in to get fixed in the next couple of days. A guy came up and in broken English told me he could fix it for $100. He convinced me it was an easy fix for him. He did his thing and fixed it perfectly. That was $100 well spent and he fixed it very quickly.
I was always curious when I would see big, new apartment buildings being built in my neighborhood in LA. There were tons of Mexicans working. I never saw a black, white, or Asian person. It seemed pretty obvious that this wasn't legal, but nothing was ever done about it.

There are plenty of legal Mexican Americans in construction
There are illegal eastern European types
Can't judge a book by the cover -
