Ever listen to an old song from your childhoo and realized how foolish your naive younger self was?

Where do bad corches go when they die? They don't got to heaven where Don James flies.

Good song and remakes are rarely better than the original, but this is shit compared to Nirvana’s version.HairyBallsDawg said:

I saw the Meat Puppets when they opened for the reunited Soundgarden a few years ago. Their setlist was:
-Oh Me
-Lake of Fire
-Plateau
-Backwater
I think most people there thought they were just playing Nirvana Covers and their one hit -
I own both. Not sure which I like best.HairyBallsDawg said:

I am a big Steely Dan freak, and I was about 25-26 before I realized that 80% of their songs were about drugs (NTTAWWT)...CCR was (is) a big fave, but as 7-8 year old kid. I thought "Who'll Stop the Rain" was about the weather. After a few history classes in college, I began to understand what "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Gimme Shelter" were all about. So much music I grew up listening to had meanings and references that were waaaay over my head.

I love the Nirvana version. I can also admit that it sounds like bad Meat Puppets karaoke in the worst bar imagineable. Particularly the last third.dnc said:
