Oh for love of god, it's a make believe Hollywood movie. LA sucks ballz. Much of the film did a good jerb of portraying the shitieness of LA. And I say that as I guy who lived in San Diego county when that flick came out. We couldn't get through that place quick enough on our way north.SFGbob said:

That's not the way the movie was marketed or discussed. It was held out to be some kind of realistic, slice of modern America and a social commentary. They weren't trying to create a fantasy movie. Would you have the same opinion of a version of Boys in the Hood that depicted white people are the real victims of police brutality in LA?YellowSnow said:

Apparently Koreans were pissed off about the movie and it got banned in S Korea.
At any rate, I don't really give a crap about Hollywood's agenda here. It remember enjoying the movie when it came out and thought it was entertaining. I don't need to pick it apart further than that. -
