Add There Will be Blood. It is a slow burn, so you have to ready, but so so good.
Ben Foster is slept on. One of the very best actors. Best actor in 3:10, Hell or Highwater, and Alpha Dog.
Don't miss Leave No Trace then. I didn't love the movie as much as my more movie geeky friends did. However, tremendous performance by Foster, especially given most his other roles.

Great point. In a movie with Crowe and Bale he completely dominated them and pushed the movie into greatness. He was also fucking terrifying and completely insane. Great villain. Spoilers in this vid so @chuck sit this one out:
