Why so ageist dude?

Term. Limits. Now.
-
Charlie Rangel is also corrupt, has to be one of the worst in DC.

All these old fuckers are from a day gone by.doogsinparadise said:Why so ageist dude?
I've been around people over 75 and most are starting to lose mental capacity.
-
It's odd to me how in politics and coaching experience is viewed as a bad thing.
-
Charlie Rangel has always been a POS. His age has nothing to do with it.
-
Would you want Lou Holtz coaching your team right now? Didn't think so...HuskyJW said:It's odd to me how in politics and coaching experience is viewed as a bad thing.

Well Lou is older than Gil Dobie, so not sure that counts.

When is it viewed as a bad thing in coaching?HuskyJW said:It's odd to me how in politics and coaching experience is viewed as a bad thing.
In politics too much experience is viewed as a bad thing because it's easy to loose touch with the REAL world when you've been in Washington playing grabass with lobbyists for decades.

Just cuz

Too little experience (not being an executive in the private sector, not having a leadership position in the military, and / or not being a governor) definitely hurts when a person talks their way into the Presidency (Exhibit A: the junior senator from Illinois). Exhibit B would be LBJ, who came from the Senate and took over after JFK died.
Harry Truman had a executive experience in WWI (artillery commander) and also tried his hand in the private sector (didn't work out for his store, but at least he tried and gained a better understanding of how the private sector works).

It just shows that the Tea Party candidate taking down CantorFS is a mirage. Unfortunatley for the RNC, the teaparty will only be successful in swallowing their own. And those that are in run offs against the Dems in November will lose most of those elections.
The Republican Party is more fractured than 2012. They had a huge opportunity to take some seats this November but have squandered the opportunity IMO. -
You mean his guys were steamrollin' grass while writhing on the ground faking injuries?HuskyJW said:

I'm really not a term limits guy.HuskyJW said:It's odd to me how in politics and coaching experience is viewed as a bad thing.
I simply don't understand how people could vote for someone who at the end of their term will be 82 years old.
And fucking Rangel is 84.
I don't give a fuck what anyone says ... they are on diminishing returns for their fucking brain power.
With all that said they got elected ... so power to the people. -

Colorado, Mississippi and Oklahoma all had primary winners who were establishment candidates.
The Tea Party got routed at the ballot box this year.
After last night the dems are in big trouble ...
there are no witches or similar on the ballot this go around. -
The retread coach, that got a job at major conference school despite sucking balls at his previous job, is your example? What qualification do you think Randy Hart had to get that job, other than experience? It sure as shit wasn't performance based.HuskyJW said:Well....for one...
