Caple’s Interview with K

Yeah, but people are making it out like Kwat was finally jumping at the chance to coach in Texas. He wouldn't have taken the job if it hadn't been a guy he knew and was comfortable with. In the interview itself Kwat was not shaking his head at the state of West Coast football. I know that's all anybody wants to talk about nowadays but he wasn't really saying that.TommySQC said:
It is bigger and everyone knows it. Larry Scott is a fucktard but anyone thinking someone else steps in and makes the P12 compete with the SEC is a retard. The culture out west would never let a troglodytic sport like football be successful and that's reflected in your universities, city, state governments, media, attendance and tv ratings.Kingdome_Urinals said:
I didn't really take it that way. Seemed pretty anodyne. Texas has always been a bigger deal than UW, Sark is a west coast guy so there is a comfort level there, more money, and the job is more exciting than staying on for a CP-Lite experience with Jimmy.Tequilla said:For those of you with Athletic subscriptions it’s a must read ...
It’s a sobering interview that will make you want to drink heavily ... probably best to lock up the bleach before reading
The stuff about how football is a bigger deal in other parts of the country was fed to him by Caple, he didn't really bite IMO.

What does he have to lose? He's already rich, he can go try to play with the big boys, and if it doesn't work he'll get a huge buyout and will land at Bama, or anywhere else he wants.

One other thing: recruiting to Austin in the State of Texas is a relative breeze. He's probably getting near the age where that appeals a lot more than if he was 45.

Spot on. Why is this hard to understand for so many message board geniuses?TommySQC said:

Kwat wants to coach in big games, get paid, and have pressure. I’m having a hard time blaming anyone or anything. UW and the PAC 12 are the minor leagues of college football. That’s the part that sucks.

It's all about the bbq. You tards keep on passing that point up.
2 million dollars a year, don't have to recruit and a permanent spot at Franklin's bbq?
Are you guys insane? -

This. Better resources, bigger games, hotter coeds, more money in a tax friendly state, more football friendly culture and better bbq. This is a no brainer. I'd have thought he was a moron for staying. Only downside to this move is Sark.animate said:It's all about the bbq. You tards keep on passing that point up.

Idk, sark is putting around him a pretty impressive staff. Shithead learned something from Saban I guess. Probably won’t be a complete dumpster fire like at uscSwaye said:
