I said he'll flip ya, flip ya for real

Washington and UCLA are currently battling to flip a prospect that is committed to another Pac-12 program ahead of the Early Signing Period. It's become a really tight race down the stretch and I've been told the recruit has been in communication with commits for the other schools. Things could get settled this weekend but I've had multiple sources tell me that nothing is finalized and the recruit in question has been all over the place in recent weeks.
Which team currently has a longsnapper committed?

I did a quick look at who UCLA and us have both offered that are committed to a Pac 12 school. If it isn't a Oregon commit, my money is on DL Derek Wilkins who is committed to Cal.

Wilkins is tweeting about signing with Cal next week. Could be a smokescreen, but I don’t see it.KrunkJuice said:I did a quick look at who UCLA and us have both offered that are committed to a Pac 12 school. If it isn't a Oregon commit, my money is on DL Derek Wilkins who is committed to Cal.
I’m seeing more smoke around Matavao who, as you said, is committed to Oregon.

"yeah, I'm shakin"

Who cares? He’s probably not coming here

Looking at UCLA's commits makes me feel less bad about our class. Of their 10! commits, they have 4 WRs and 4 Offensive Lineman. They have 1! defensive player committed.
So probably a defensive player? -
Since its Blair Angelo is reporting it, it's likely a guy from AZ or NV.
There's really 2 scenarios that fit the script.
- its a high level recruit like Matovai and he picks UCLA
- its a low level recruit committed to Arizona or the Beavers and he picks UW -
Velltray or Trey Reynolds. Blair said something about the kids first name rhyming with Bay.

Blair didn't say that. A random Bruin poster did. They think its Jay Tuoai or whatever. I doubt we'd be looking to take another DT and he's not from Blair's regionbackthepack said:Velltray or Trey Reynolds. Blair said something about the kids first name rhyming with Bay.

According to the experts over at BD2W. JHop says UW is going hard and is still in the mix for Moliki Matavao. He says that the staff is also worried about Jaylin Davies and Christian Burkhalter.

Moliki? All UCLA.

Burkhter with a bunch of cbs to ucla
-
Out of all those, I'd most want Jaylin Davies. We'll be fine st TE but this class could use another DBKrunkJuice said:According to the experts over at BD2W. If Davies flips, he's going to USC.bananasnblondes said:

I think it said USC and the fighting Herm Edwards would be the 2 schools.insinceredawg said:

If Oregon continues losing recruits at this rate then maybe things will be ok

No one tell him why Oregon “lost” this kidDoogerMcFarland said:If Oregon continues losing recruits at this rate then maybe things will be ok

This has been a crazy year for recruiting. It’s too bad that Burkie, that’s what I like to call him, got lost in the flow. Since he’s going to be in the Pac-12 at least we’ll get to siaka him play. If he doesn’t work out at UCLA he can take a toure of the UC system and maybe he’ll wind up at Davis.ntxduck said:

LBs with short arms but no post pregnancy baby weight are always welcome. If Raesjon Davis doesn’t go to LSU then he’s probably Ohio State bound, although supposedly his dad has been hitting up Mario. No one really left to process. -
Angulo confirms it was Matavao he was referring to last week as the possible flip, but says he’s changed his mind and will stay at Oregon.

I'm sure we really threw our best effort into that oneDoogerMcFarland said:Angulo confirms it was Matavao he was referring to last week as the possible flip, but says he’s changed his mind and will stay at Oregon.

Both teams played hard -
Oregon has received a signed letter of intent from Henderson (Nev.) Liberty tight end Moliki Matavao. The tight end joins Oregon's stellar offensive recruiting haul and as the top prospect in the state of Nevada
