Narrative you will hear from BDTW of Kim and Co on Dawgman.
I get the latter as it's their business model to tell the sheep everything is 5 stars
The former is more surprising as they are intelligent, analyitical, data driven, reasonable guys (taking about the principals)
Here's the bottom line:
I used to think if you win they will come (fans in stands). Pete did and they still did not.
How Does any AD fix that? You have a product that people don't want/care about it and every year a couple of 1000 more Grey Hairs opt out and are replaced by people who are there to watch the game (if they come) as a Experience nothing more nothing less. Same as going to movies, dinner, concert, beach, etc.

Pete won, but who did he beat out of conference that was worth a damn? How many "big" games did he win?
It's not about sizzle for most of these guys. It's about winning the big games and championships. They are already banking on the NFL, so fuck the built for life shtick. -

Is this a real question? It is largely on the AD. Coker has it exactly right: treat it like a public good, not a fucking COMMODITY. It's total war: every facet of the program should be about domination on the field, from marketing to social media to engagement. Don't make money. Making money shouldn't be the goal. Winning hearts and minds should be the goal. If you have people taking ownership of the program, the money will come. You have to make Husky football a tradition, not an entertainment, not a luxury. Reach out to fans, not with gameday experience bullshit where you charge them for some access/privilege, but where you GIVE that to them.
AD should be BOMBARDING social media with shit that makes it look like being a Husky is the best thing ever, not a fucking GRIND. Instead we have AD staff with #scoducks and #swooshlife in their bios! How is every employee social media account not monitored?!?
