I wonder if Levi has second thoughts about sitting out this season?

It would be hard not to. He had already decided to come back for his senior season like Molden, so it’s not a question that he had wanted to play.
But I’m sure he wasn’t sure if the season would actually be be played. High draft stock, season in question, possible start and stop with injury, not being sure what the Pac-12 would ultimately do. That’s tough on a young person. -
Just to be clear, I'm not judging him. Just wondering if he's thinking "fuck, I'd love to be out there"DoogCourics said:It would be hard not to. He had already decided to come back for his senior season like Molden, so it’s not a question that he had wanted to play.

He made the right call. Putting any faith in Larry Scott to not fuck it up would have been the stupid decision. Now that they are playing he probably wishes he was out there, but he made the right call with the info available at the tim.
-
Feel bad for him, he is poised to have a good senior season. Would have helped his draft stock a lot compared to Tryon who will test well
-
He had a couple family members get covid and they couldn’t pay the bills.
-
I think it’s lip service. Sounds good on Instagram or Twitter though.
-
He was probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite player on the team. Seemed like a great guy, one of the more energetic players in the Pete era, and was really well liked by teammates. Unfortunately, I think this defense and his skills/charisma would have been a perfect match and his draft stock would have gone way up, but I agree with @Swaye that he made the right choice at the time.
I think his game translates well to the NFL, so I hope he has a nice career. -

The CBS mock draft published yesterday has him going 17th overall to the Raiders. That seems too high, but it is supposed to be a weak year for DTs.

Early mock drafts probably favor guys who opted out because people haven't watched as much tape on guys still playingWoof said:The CBS mock draft published yesterday has him going 17th overall to the Raiders. That seems too high, but it is supposed to be a weak year for DTs.

I agree, and was surprised to see him there. I think he's probably a mid 2nd to 3rd rounder, but I hope this mock is right and I'm wrong.Neighbor2972 said:

Would have been a lot of fun to watch Tyron and Levi with this defense, bummer that has been taken from us and them. No blame, 2020 just sucks.

I envision him more as a 4-3 DE and 3T on obvious passing downs kind of guy at the NFL level.
-
Very little chance he's playing DE at 293. You think he's slimming down a bunch?1to392831weretaken said:I envision him more as a 4-3 DE and 3T on obvious passing downs kind of guy at the NFL level.

I know UW's weights tend to be more accurate than most, but he's never looked that heavy to me. Also, yeah. 4-3 ends can be right up there close to 300. He's definitely quick and explosive enough.dnc said:

Long arms. That's his best trait. Active with good reach. UW doesn't have a guy like that anymore.

Levi vs Gaines who you taking?
I got Gaines in purple -
Who had a better UW career? Gaines rather easily.Canadawg said:Levi vs Gaines who you taking?

Levi will have a better NFL career though.
And had Levi had the chance at a full season this year he may have made the UW career close. -
Levi and Tryon had chances to reverse their decisions after it was known that ball would be played and they didn't. Whether that was a good call or not won't be known till draft day, but they're kind of on my shit list. I have a feeling they wish they were playing.

I don't understand the shit list thing at all. The Pac bungled the shit out of the season, they said fuck it and moved on. Many of us wood have given up on this season. Hell many of us *did* give up on this season. -
Ehhhhhhhhh....Gaines is a solid rotation guy. Maybe Levi will be better. Maybe he wont.dnc said:

I get it, but lots of players did not opt out. Look at Molden. He has DAWG etched on his forehead for the rest of time and is playing at an AA level. Levi and Tryon are lifting weights and running around cones.dnc said:

I agree with this take to a certain extent, but Molden has a lot more to prove from an eye test standpointCallMeBigErn said:

Molden had less to prove than all the Oregon quitters.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

It just makes me love Molden more for coming back in the midst of this Pac12 fucking dreckfest, but it doesn't make me respect Levi and Tryon any less.CallMeBigErn said:
