- Tuitele getting a lot of penetration against the run, Bronson with a much better game

- Cade Otton looks incredible, clearly one of the best players on the field on every play
- Oline looked good. I would like to see us run out of more spread formations, its just really hard to block consistently against stacked boxes.
- S/O the backup oline on the long Dick run - Fautanu-Kalepo-Mele-Buelow-Luciano, completely crushed them
- Kind of crazy how many points we actually left on the field. Messed up handoff on the goal-line, missed fg, Puka drop in FG range, McMillan-Morris could have had 2-3 long TDs
- Morris looks comfortable in the offense, which is good. He knows how to make his reads quickly, and is pretty decisive with the ball. He's pretty quick to recognize when nothing is there and minimizes the damage. His accuracy on shorter throws still isn't ideal. but it was definitely better this game, and not a huge problem. His arm is still really bad, he does not look at all comfortable throwing deep, like he doesn't trust his arm so he overcompensates with his body and overthrows it. Hopefully that can be improved, I guess we'll see.
So he can definitely do it, just has to be more consistent and confident in his arm.
I'm gonna doog that McMillan is that kind of talent that he can get behind a secondary at will. It didn't seem like he was an elite speed guy, but if he is, or if his double moves are that sick, it will be a fun three years with him. -

Kyler Murray, Pat Mahomes both throw the football like their playing second base half the time. WR's don't seem to have trouble with it. Morris not only has a strong arm but a quick trigger and release and adaptive arm angles to compensate for his height. I find him pretty fun to watch and actually think he could be one of those unexpected legend type of talents. I haven't mocked BTP about him because I really didn't expect much either.
I hate to say it but I think the quickness, velocity, arm angles, and not always perfect ball placement add up to a QB that can be a challenge to catch balls from. It's kind of like certain pitchers I remember who weren't flame throwers but who I seemed to struggle to catch up with. I couldn't pick the ball up in their motion so it would get on top of me quick. I think some of that has gone on with the receivers. Not on every drop but on some.
They better be able to do it, or they're not good enough to stay on the field, but I've weighed that in on my judgement of the receivers so far. I'm willing to grant a little time to get in sync with him.
Just catch the football. Last year they said Eason threw it too fast. Just catch the fucker. -

On 3rd down Morris was 7 of 8, 141 yards, two touchdowns. Four of his conversions came on 3rd and 7 or longer. His only incompletion was a drop. and his only completion that didn’t net a touchdown or first down was the third-and-5 throw to Cam Davis that gained 4 yards.
Morris converted the subsequent fourth-and-1 with a QB sneak. (He also had a 2-yard scramble on a third-and-4 in the first quarter and scrambled out of bounds for his first and only sack of the season on third-and-4 in the third quarter.)
Overall, the Huskies converted 8 of 15 on third down and sit at 51.6 percent for the season. They’re also 3 of 3 on fourth down. The significance of Saturday’s third-down performance, though, was that all but two of UW’s conversions required Morris to make a play with his arm. -

Lots of good points. Here are my adds.
Morris still needs to work on selling the play action a bit more. There were some good ones, some ok ones, and a couple where I had to rewatch multiple times to figure out if it was play action or Morris was just fumbling with the ball.
We ran 5 wide out of a 3 TE set (13 personnel) multiple times. Otton, Redman, and Westover split wide. This could eventually be a delicious mismatch, especially with Cam and his hands.
We also ran a play a couple times where we unbalanced the line and moved Curne outside Kirkland and let Otton play RT. Otton's blocking was very very nice.
The young guy that impressed me in limited time was Fabiculanan. Seemed to have a nose for the ball and a willing tackler. Bandes and Tuitele looked decent, and I'd love to get to a point where they can rotate in a bit more. -
