1.) You dipshit, it was at the 5. Did anything about the offense today give you the warm fuzzies about picking up 5 yards against a stacked box?backthepack said:
We were on the 2 yard line. They are different scenarios you stupid fuck. Learn how models workSources said:
Prove it, statmaster. I’m sure if it’s 4th down on our 30, there’s no probability change if we’re up by 3 or 6. Fucking hell you’re obtusebackthepack said:
It does nothing for your win probability. A touchdown ends the game. If you dont get they’re pinned. We get it you’re a grey hair that hates analyticsSources said:

1.5) The previous three plays were run for no gain, run for no gain, and run for loss of 1.

I found two such win probability calculators. Both said to kick the field goal. One of them said, "Kick the field goal, and BTP likes to cite statistics that he doesn't understand to sound cool."backthepack said:

I thought that was kind of weird. -
Imagine asking for proof when you can’t provide any yourself

The LB play is still sub standard. Sirmon is just not a good college LB yet Bob keeps trotting him out there. Outside of ZTF there was no bending of the edge. Our defensive line is young and I'm not sure if they are any good. The holes consistently punched into the front seven was alarming. Not having Latu and Tuli will give me pause shitting on this defense completely and they only gave up 14 points so there is that.
Why don't the receivers win a fight for the ball. They never win the 50/50 ball. If they cant win the 50/50 ball then the passing game is fucked because JonDong isn't scheming these kids open and Morris isn't throwing them open. The offensive line pushed OSU around until OSU decided that either Morris couldn't beat them or that Jon Dong wasn't going to let Morris try to beat them. With eight in the box a seam pass to the TE seems like a good way to loosen things up. Where was Cade Otten? Where was Mark Redman? The patented James Rodgers jet sweep action is fine to have. That said, you should only actually hand the ball off out of it maybe twice a game. Once a half. JonDong ran it twice in the in the fourth quarter, on the same drive, on back to back plays, in the red zone with the game on the line. So dumb. This offense is very reminiscent of Penn States 1987 national championship team. Jimmy zigs while the rest of college football zags! That's excitement! Having every game be decided by less than a touchdown either way is such a great way for backups to never see the field making it hard to build experienced depth. Glad to see that Jimmy kept that strategy from the Pete years.
Bad punt snap that led to a touchdown. Two long kickoff returns, one setting up a late first half touchdown. A missed FG. In my estimation Bobby's ST's led to a -17pt share.
Fuck you Gregory.
Defense: C
Offense: D+
Special Teams: F
All that said UW won. Glad it was the Beaves. Not sure they beat anyone else with that effort. -

A few folks really struggling with some basics of win probability.
The point is to win, right? So if you have an opportunity to win the game with one play, and a play that you have a high likelihood of success at (gain 5 yards), then you should gain an equal or better likelihood of success by passing up that opportunity.
This is where Lake fucked it up. Because going up by 6 instead of 3 is pretty marginal in terms of winning. An OSU touchdown still means you lose.
So you give up a chance to win outright, and instead just make it so OSU has to gain appx 30 more yards to beat you. You also give OSU a kickoff return opportunity, which basically guarantees them better field position than the 5.
I think they returned it to the 20, so of the 30 extra yards you make them go to score a touchdown vs a field goal, 15 of it was wiped out instantly anyways (starting on the 20 vs the 5).
Not sure why some fancy model is needed to realize that kicking that field goal from the 5 was a loser move. -
No team in modern football history is going to be successful running the ball almost every single down. Even Alabama who ran it alot no longer does so because it simply doesn't work. This OC is a joke and the coach who hired him as well. For those of you who thought hamden was a bad OC and yes he was, wait till you have one full season of this clown under your belt, lmao. We are not Alabama of the 90's and 2000 where 5 star running back recruits a the RB position O line and pretty much the entire defense. Running the ball on very down is a complete disaster waiting to happen.

Where's the John Don presser? I've still never seen evidence of his corporeal presence in Seattle, the state of Washington, the Pacific time zone, or even west of Tampa. -

The Season is Over. No big Dick win and pounding of those losers. Special teams were -10 points on the night. Offense wouldn’t score shit against a real team and defense would get gashed. We lose all upcoming games 77-4.

Totally a doog. But I do try to be reasonable with my Doog Shit takes, and accountable. WR let me down last night. But I still haven’t changed my opinion on those dudes! -
Shut this SHITshow down NOW. The angles they had CLEARLY showed it was a bad call. We ALL saw it.GrundleStiltzkin said:
