Wood have Arizona on their way to Washington right now to play a Sunday game to open up both their schedules on Nov 21. This gives them flexibility to replace other teams who will undoubtedly not be able to play that weekend.
There is literally no reason not to do this.
So it won’t happen.

The logistics of playing a game in an empty stadium dont seem all that challenging with a couole of days' notice. What do I know thoufh?GrundleStiltzkin said: -
The SEC would pull it off rather easily.chuck said:

But the Pac didn't even give it any real consideration.
It just means less. -
You need officials, TV equipment, a TV crew, etc. It's not insurmountable, but it's not nothin'. I wouldn't be surprised if you also need local health official approval and approval from on high at both universities. I know that where I work you can't change out an inconsequential piece of carbon steel pipe the size of my finger with a stainless piece without 30 people in nine different Skype meetings over a two-week period.chuck said:

Scheduling, organizing travel and logistics for, approving something like a college football game with a day's notice? For teams located 1200 miles apart as the crow flies? Yeah, I believe them that it's a bit of a tall order. -
It's so fucking disheartening to see this level of organizational fumbling. The Pac-12 is operating like a bureaucracy with a million red tape hurdles to clear. Except there are no actual red tape hurdles to clear. You just need fast-acting executives who can bring parties together and hammer out quick, decisive moves. We have none of those people in conference leadership.
And by the way, Jen is culpable for every bit of that blame as well. If she's getting stonewalled then she needs to publicly shame whoever is preventing this from happening, be it Arizona or the conference, and let everyone know that she's working overtime to implement contingency plans.
We just get shoulder shrugging instead. -
"Explored options". Fuck that. Admin speak for "eh, it's hard". If you actually explored options and they fell through then name some names and let the public know how pissed off you are at whoever the roadblock is.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
It's not like they already had a game approved for Saturday night with a TV crew and everything.1to392831weretaken said:

You move it back a day. The crews probably haven't even flown in yet so they aren't even out an extra night in a hotel.
It's challenging yes but welcome to 2020. Conferences that GAF find solutions.
The Pac cancels games.
And they know their idiot fans will respond just like this. -
It’s all about the process man.dnc said:
