I mean it's been clear for two months that the two sides aren't interested in getting a deal done.

People needed this fucking money months ago and your democrat house and your democrat governors don't give a shit
Trump has 1.6 billion on the table to go to people not Gavin Newsom
-
Same thing with the stimulus in 09 or whenever
"I guess those shovel ready jobs weren't ready" joked Obama as no one criticized him in the media
The money went to bail out state pensions. The State Capitol grounds in Oly canceled a bunch of projects that money was to be used for.

Fuck them all for not getting this shit done. I am no fan of big government and handouts, but when gubment is one keeping bread off the table, they (we?) gotta pay for it. Seven months in, shit is getting scary out there.

Trump is sending me 300 bucks a week by EO
Congress couldn't even extend the hyper unemployment spiff. Newsom refused it at first then quickly back tracked -
Even if Trump wins, states will have to get bailed out, not that they should, but they will. Some big ones are in too bad of shape. Their own doing of course. Trump wins they get a partial bailout with forced austerity and real change on policy required.RaceBannon said:Same thing with the stimulus in 09 or whenever

Biden wins and its a full bailout and business as usual. -

Fucking 8,000 dollars per person 18+... Fucking lol at 2.4 trillion.
Im not saying its a good idea, but how hard is it to just do what was done before and put the money directly into bank accounts? Fuckers are getting rich throwing fake money into their pet projects and fake companies while locking the average citizen down for months AND holding any direct financial aid hostage. -

Not sure why the 1.6 trillion package can’t be accepted and Nancy Pelosi and the Dems can’t go back after they win for more if needed. 1.6 trillion helps a lot more than zero.

Because neither party actually wants to help. They just want to make the other one look bad. All of them should be hanged.RoadDawg55 said:Not sure why the 1.6 trillion package can’t be accepted and Nancy Pelosi and the Dems can’t go back after they win for more if needed. 1.6 trillion helps a lot more than zero.

Do whatever's needed with Fed unemployment enhancement, but just as if not more important, do another round of the PPP. Keeps employer and employees together, for if and when this ends.

4 years later and dipshits like @insinceredawg still have zero clue how Trump negotiates.
ID is the guy that goes into a job interview and accepts whatever offer he gets, or says he will work for less to get the job. -
The Democrats know the one strength Trump has is the economy. They will do everything they can to not get a stimulus through. The 2.4 trillion dollar figure isn't a true offer, as they knew it would be rejected. They just assume correctly, that dipshits like insinceredawg will lick themselves over this, claiming victory as "democrats are trying". If Trump wins reelection, the democrats will accept the $1.6 trillion plan almost immediately. It's all about the election at this point. Neither side truly cares about the American people.

Except maybe this time do a better job of administering the PPP. The oversight and execution of that program was Eastern European levels of cronyism.GrundleStiltzkin said:Do whatever's needed with Fed unemployment enhancement, but just as if not more important, do another round of the PPP.
