Why a Gruesome Pennsylvania Abortion Clinic Had Not Been Inspected for 17 Years
According to a new grand jury report, Pennsylvania stopped regularly inspecting abortion clinics in the mid-1990s. That policy continued until just last year.

“The Pennsylvania Department of Health abruptly decided, for political reasons, to stop inspecting abortion clinics at all. The politics in question were not anti-abortion, but pro. With the change of administration from Governor Casey to Governor Ridge, officials concluded that inspections would be “putting a barrier up to women” seeking abortions.

“Even nail salons in Pennsylvania are monitored more closely for client safety,” the report states. "Without regular inspections, providers like Gosnell continue to operate; unlawful and dangerous third-trimester abortions go undetected; and many women, especially poor women, suffer."

According to the report, the policy change occurred after 1993 when attorneys under the administration of then-governor Tom Ridge "interpreted the same regulations that had permitted annual inspections for years to no longer authorize those inspections.”

I think there are a lot of people that don't view what the Democratic Party is promoting as Socialism/Communism ... or don't feel that that can happen in the US

I know that there are a lot of people that view Trump as a mean bully and feel that the Office of the Presidency requires a certain way of treating people.

I suspect that's more what The Rock is basing his decision on ... but who really knows.

That's only true if you're a mediocre talent like James Woods. Clint Eastwood can ramble to a chair at the RNC and Hollywood will still finance and distribute his shit. Both the Rock and Clint can do whatever the fuck they want.

Eastwood went totally independent after his Obama chair thing and financed other projects on his own. American Sniper wasn’t funded by a Hollywood studio, but rather Clint’s production company that brought on executive producers.

James Woods went to MIT and dropped out his senior at the suggestion to act from Ben and Casey Affleck’s dad. What a backstory. That’s a movie in itself.

From the production side, sure, Clint has enough fuck you money that he doesn't need any help. But Warner Bros still distributed all his big movies. They don't care if he's a right winger, they care about how much box office he'll command.

The only notable exception I can think of to Hollywood's money over ideology priority is Mel Gibson. Turns out anti-semitism is the one stance you can take that will get you a decade-long blacklist from any industry predominantly run by Jewish men.

Hollywood has a hierarchy that allows for guys like Weinstein and Spacey to openly abuse people for decades and no one do anything.

They can take a white hot actress like Jennifer Lawrence and lock her out once they used her up and all her nudes leaked.

Well the first example you noted is completely consistent with the notion of money over ideology. Hollywood and the NBA both bow to China for the very same reason.

I'd argue the same is true for the second. As soon as the market decided they were no longer going to tolerate rapists like Weinstein and Spacey, they were no longer profitable and dumped by the wayside.

Point being - the Rock is a money generating machine. If he was conservative it wouldn't be a problem in today's environment because he'd still print money no matter how many loony liberals decided they were going to boycott his movies. Take an anti-Chinese stance on the other hand? Yeah, he might find himself in hot water.
