Rough Car CampingI've never been a fan of camp grounds. Too much GP (general public). Backpacking ain't my back because it's too much weight to pack in the beer and meat. 4 x 4 ing up some USFS road and rough camping can't be beat IMHO. Let the internal combustion engine do the work I say.

RV or VanI agree on abundance. One or two days and im fine with rough car camping or backpacking.. Any longer than that and i miss my old man comforts. I think i have the most fun with a Macgyverized van or small motor home if im staying in any one place for more than a couple of days.

Jesus, Yella. We've met. I don't do much of anything without booze involved in one or more ways. -

The remoteness of wilderness backpacking with the same volume of gear as car camping. -
RV or Van
Great addition to the list. The only thing I hate about it, same as car camping, is all the unpacking and repacking. I get tired of that pretty fast.Mad_Son said:

F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off...I have a cabin. With a dishwasher. And air conditioning. And washer/dryer.
Because I’m not poor any more. -
F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off...I like to work 60 hours per week and die young so that I can afford to provide my family with a nice house near nice schools and then once or twice a year say, "Hey Honey, let's go out in the woods and do homeless cosplay for a few nights."

Tent - State or USFS CampgroundI love tent camping but will soon be going the glamorous something all season being dragged behind my big ass new truck. Could have left 'new truck' off I guess.
We are thinking of selling the house and goats and traveling around the USofA and maybe into Canada on occasion. I have relatives that are dumb Yuppers - don't wanna see them, just want to show the Mrs. the Upper Peninsula. Travel during off season, drive on weekdays not weekends and mainly saying to hell with politics... -
Tent - State or USFS Campgroundan addendum to previous post - talking to the wife about really doing this - I think further discussion is in the future
My idea
