Nadella was a great CEO hire. He has hit almost everything he has tried out of the park.

I have no clue what he's trying to do with Tiktok, but he has earned the benefit of the doubt in my opinion.

I'm a fan of Microsoft. Teams is the shit
Even old people in my company are down

Teams is a dream. Great product.
Uses a lot of bandwidth. Probably all such apps do. But fuck, I can always pony up for more net.

I moved our entire phone system to it as well. Totally worth it.

Most internal stuff is through teams. All files I moved to SharePoint/teams. Just lovely.

Probably should put more security in but my owners complain lol so fuck it. Im moving companies anyway in the next couple months

Didn't Microsoft leverage Skype into Teams?

Skype was a MS acquisition quite a few years ago and didn't really do shit for years. Or at least IDNGAF about Skype.

Yeah. The chat and video stuff is Skype. Instead of buying slack they figured they'd make their own and leverage all their current products on the back end.

It's still not fully mature but they are cranking out improvements like weekly

Wal Mart to tik-tok: "Hey are whole business model is connecting with people and selling them stuff"
Microsoft to tik-tok: "Hey at least one of our business arms in X-Box is about interactive games being played by people who interact with each other"

Oracle to tik-tok: "Hold my beer"

If I was a Oracle shareholder, I would be extrememly concerned about them spending 10's of billion of dollars buying tik-tok. What are they saying about the businesses they are currently in and their ability to compete and win them?

Looks like they’re buying the competition.

Stock price says the shareholders are happy

    Data. Data. Data.

No reorg necessary. Let them keep doing their thing and sit back and monetize every single American child who is old enough to hold an iphone. Better letting Larry have it than Xi.

    How is tik-tok Oracle's competition?

Monetizing 30 second videos of alvin and the chipmunks voice overs of peoples pets, kids and cursing each other out would be very tough to monetize I would think.

You serious Clark? The advertisement money is huge. If you ever go on TikTok, like every 20 videos is an ad for a big company.

I’m no expert, but they use a person’s data to target them for certain ads. It’s probably the best way available to market to kids under 21.

It’s a projection, but TikTok is supposedly going to go from 1 billion in revenue to 6 billion next year. The only real danger is something new comes along and TikTok becomes obsolete.
