Anyone ever think about why historically societies placed such a large stigma on people that had kids out of wedlock? Were they are just a bunch of prudes and blue noses or was there maybe a social reason why discouraging out of wedlock births was seen as good for the society as a whole?

Personally don’t care wether the couple is married, boyfriend and girlfriend, partners, gay, trans, whatever....as long as they can come together and give the child they made the appropriate support so that kid doesn’t grow up resentful, neglected, and with anger towards them/society. Basically any kid that is loved and taken care of, gets through school, becomes independent, and finds things to do to earn money and contribute to society. Then there is incentive to only do drugs on weekends. And to not steal and assault people. Many marriages are churning out neglected shitty little kids who grow up to be shitty adults. We just need people not to have kids until they are financially and emotionally ready to dedicated their life to a kid.

Out of wedlock births for whites is around 30%. Having 5 kids out of wedlock by 3 difference dads will definitely get you shunned by most white communities. Having a single kid out of wedlock will not.

I agree, they don't have to be married but it's a little tougher to walk out on your wife than it is to walk out on your girl friend. And of course there are people who are married that have no problem producing shitty kids. Some kids are also just bad and it doesn't really matter what kind of home environment they are raised in. We've all seen the family with the 3 kids two of which end up going to college and having successful lives and the 3rd ends up being a drug addicted dirt bag.
