Cops shoot and kill another

White man.

No riots out here in Kitsap County, though. Drove by today on my way to get groceries and saw a nice memorial with signs asking for justice. No threats to cops, but a few "DLM" signs. I'm sure if anyone from Seattle found out about those signs they'd accuse all of his friends of being racist.

"He was an attention seeker, but not once have I ever seen or heard him say he wanted to die," Ham said. "He did what I would have done if a cop rolled up on me. I wouldn’t have got on the ground if I didn’t commit a crime."

I'm hearing that the onus is on the victim to comply with officers so as not to get shot for disobedience.

You're free to resist arrest. I highly encourage you to perform your street lawyer act and litigate all unlawful arrests and detainments right there on the spot.

No thanks, I prefer not getting shot. But if I did resist and posed no bodily threat to the officer, should my punishment be death?

You personally? Yes. In general, no.

I can't control the reaction of other people. I can control whether I resist arrest or not. In a perfect world the cops should always act professionally. Not being a moron or a child, I know this isn't a perfect world.

Resist arrest and you might get shot. Same as it’s ever been.

Only seems to matter when it’s a Black* person being the idiot.

    It’s White Privilege 101.

Depends on how the officer assess the situation. If you want to put your life in the hands of a cop by being a badass and resisting arrest, that’s your fault.

I've never been a fan of the media's selective outrage over police shootings being contingent on the race of who got shot. The Daniel Shavers of the world deserve a lot more notoriety and justice.

Some will actually mock you for it, like @GreenRiverGatorz in this very thread.
