Where are Barr's stormtroopers when you need them?

With an umbrella in his left hand and a hammer in his right, the man in black lobbed his weapon so nonchalantly into an auto parts shop’s windows that it surprised many others in Minneapolis marching nearby in a May 27 protest after George Floyd’s death.

Soon after the abrupt attack, the mostly calm demonstration near a police precinct erupted into looting and arson — the first fire in riots that eventually caused $500 million in damage and left two people dead, the Associated Press reported.

For weeks afterward, activists and Internet commenters homed in on a viral video of the figure nicknamed “Umbrella Man,” speculating that his intent was actually to turn the peaceful protests destructive.

On Tuesday, Minneapolis police identified him as an affiliate of a white supremacist group that allegedly sought to “incite violence,” according to a search warrant affidavit filed in the Hennepin County District Court. The Star Tribune first reported of the warrant. The 32-year-old man has not been charged.

The Minneapolis Police Department declined to comment on the case, citing the active investigation.

The news comes amid rising fears of right-wing agitators purposefully stoking violence at protests. Last month, federal prosecutors charged supporters of the right-wing “boogaloo boys” movement in incidents including the killing of a security officer at a federal courthouse and plotting firebombs and explosives at a government building and peaceful protests — all with the aim of stoking racial conflict.

The first thing I think about when I wake up is white supremacists in Minnesota. I'm fairly certain they hatch their plans sittin' around the ole Ice Fishing hole .

The second thing to come to mind is the 8 year old black girl killed by armed "protesters" at Rayshaun's Wendys.

Sounds reasonable the one guy with an umbrella started nationwide violence. I also hear Trump is a Russian agent. Cuckoo. Cuckoo.

Also, where were all these “incidents?” I remember Steve Carrillo, but that was a stretch linking him to the mythical “boogaloos.” Where were the bombs planted?

You seem to have the same issue following jurisdictions as the flaming vagina Congresswoman yesterday in the Barr hearing.

Local property crimes and assaults on local citizens are handled by local law enforcement officers.

    Has Pep Boys been nationalized?

    If not, STFU.

Seriously though, if BLM was truly a peaceful organization they would communicate with the city about where they were going, how long the protest would take and the exact time that it would disburse. Get the time frames onto their social media, organize your supporters and when you are done, LEAVE!!! Be very disciplined. Anyone left in the streets when the "peaceful" protest was done gets swept off the streets by police with force if needed. If violence begins while you are protesting, you bull horn your supporters together and walk away. Now you are separate from rioters and are sympathized with. After the protest is over BLM could denounce rioters and applaud the cities efforts to quell destruction. This would be an easy thing to organize and would gain them national sympathy. Thats not their aim though. They are domestic terrorists and if someone thinks its all alt-right wackos they are mental.

HOLY SHIT - Federal charges related to crimes committed on and against federal property. What a concept.
