Another stellar year...felt a slight twinge when I hit my selection, but Moondance brings back too many good memories to be denied...can’t go wrong with any of them, really.

This was the toughest one for me so far by a wide margin. Damn. Not at all sure I voted right.

Plastic Ono would be so much better if it didnt have that title. All Things Must Pass is just too George...too nice. I even considered Zep III but it has a few tunes that I skip.

Gold Rush obviously worthy and the one I listen to most. It's not Neil's best, though. Paranoid is absolute peak Black Sabbath.

American Woman by The Guess Who was a good 1970 album, too.

1970 shapes up for an easy sabbath win. No Stones or Who studio album to compete with. LED Zep III isn’t their most popular record.

I tinkered with putting in Who Live at Leeds which is a top 10 record for me.

Live at Leeds changed my life. One of my top albums of all time by far.

I think I picked up the first extended live version when it came out. We used to get hammered and sing a A Quick One He’s away. Then Wes Andersen plagiarized my shit in Rushmore.

I know self titled came out first, also in 1970, but Paranoid is where metal as an actual genre starts. The Godfathers of metal.

    Side one
    No. Title Length
    1. "War Pigs" 7:57
    2. "Paranoid" 2:48
    3. "Planet Caravan" 4:32
    4. "Iron Man" 5:56
    Side two
    No. Title Length

    6. "Hand of Doom" 7:08
