7 incher from Huffman to UW. Hope the TSIO guys, Colorado State, and Kansas are right about this guy
So our DB class is probably Spears/Tucker at CB, McCutcheon at Nickel, and this guy at S. You would have to go all the way back to Sark's transition class in 2009 to find the last class we didn't land a blue chip DB.

Dyson will be that Blue Chip when it's all said and done. Cali is already hyping him as one of the state standouts.

Give me Spears.
Spears is the one DB we are getting who was in our first round of offers. We? are generally really good at evaluating DB's. Shit Lake was still a defensive coach when we offered him.
Spears is the one DB I'm genuinely excited about. The others I have to talk myself into.
Lake has been amazing at turning 3 star DB's into studs. The question is will that type of development continue?
DB has not been an issue for us for years, and we have plenty of guys in the stable in the short term (KamFab, Kyler, Hampton, Esteen, Covington). Some of the guys in this class could also turn out to be pleasant surprises. The recruiting trend at this position, however, is extremely troubling. Similarly to LB and RB, it seems we are just giving up on the recruits we have to fight a little for and taking the easy pick ups. We are literally leveling down. Based on our history and who the head coach is, db should be the easiest position to recruit. On top of that, your db coach has coached on the west coast for years and is originally from LA. Will Harris should be door-ass-out along with Bob and KB.
This is an amazing eval. Please watch this kid’s hudl.
I'd be interested to see his measurables - he looks like he has a long wingspan. Speed looks fairly average, but other than that I could see him being a Dom type riser if he fills out.

This. It's not just that Gregory, Boner, and Harris are losing recruiting battles.... it's that they're not even engaging in the fight. When it becomes clear to any of these three shrivel-dicks that they'll actually have to work and fight for a kid's signature, they limp away.

Forgot to add... I liked Dom a lot as a recruit, but it didn't hurt that our other two DB recruits that year were Julius Irvin and Kyler Gordon. This year we don't have that luxury and the DB room is getting close to full.

Same, he looks huge on film.
Obviously hudl isn't everything, and coaches have more access to info than we do, but it's really crazy he doesn't have better offers. He just looks like a college safety already.
Finally watched the tape. Rangy ballhawking kid. Looks good, definitely has the size. Will be interesting to see what his times look like. I like him, don't love him.

“Keep scraping up those HIDDEN GEMS while we take all the ELITE TALENT!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!"
No one here is beating their chests about this class.
